Site Suggestions / Changes / Reverts

It doesn't matter how much you've donated. It's still up to the site owner whether they make changes or not. We can choose to use the site or create our own. There's nothing stopping you building your own forum if you'd prefer things done differently.

And my other point still stands. If you allow certain content here, the forum will no longer exist (and the owner potentially face legal charges).

There are many forums, just create an account everywhere and post relevant content on each of them.

But you’ve read the thread title and the original post (that’s the first post in every thread), so you know what this is about, right?

Site Suggestions / Changes / Reverts

LewdCorner is going to be reviewed and adjusted moving forward, and we want community feedback on what should change.

If there are things you think should be reverted, loosened, cleaned up, removed, improved, or brought back, post your suggestions here.

There's only three things I want to see happen

He was asked and he answered; that's all.
And he didn't demand it - he simply asked.
So what's the basis for your argument?
Sorry, but I can't quite follow you; it might be a problem on my end.

And my other point still stands. If you allow certain content here, the forum will no longer exist (and the owner potentially face legal charges).

That's news to me.
You didn't mention any of that in your other posts here - but sure, why not?
That's what this thread is for: to share opinions and suggestions and see what comes of it in the end.

"The site would just get shut down and you'd have no site at all" - maybe I wasn't clear there. If so, my bad. You gave an opinion and so did I. My point was just that it's pointless asking for things can't happen. It would suck for everyone if the site no longer existed (and suck for the owner even more if they got legal charges). It's very easy to request things when you're not the one who would face the consequences. A lot of adult gamedev sites are getting closed (or the adult part of existing sites getting chopped off). Those of us who make adult games are having to jump from one place to another every time another one gets deleted for having the wrong content (even when it's clearly marked as an 18+ site). I've been on several over the years where the owner caved in to pressure to allow certain things, then we all got screwed over when the whole site was nuked. I'm very jaded after years of that. I don't want to waste time on yet another site just to see the same thing happen. So maybe I'm being overly paranoid.

When you collect interest, it doesn't go into your vault balance, but into your wallet. In your case, since you have a 1% interest rate, you'll be collecting 10 coins and you will find that your wallet has increased by 10

Right now it costs 2,500 coins of either kind to buy member+, but I recommend using activity coins 2.0 since you can use them for nothing else for the moment.
Kinda sucks because while I agree, you can't put 2.0 in the bank and get interest, and also you gain 2.0 at a pretty significantly lower rate than you do reg AC. It makes sense to use 2.0 but it takes a lot longer to get the funds

Yeah, my collection of 2.0 is a fraction of my normal coins, but there is just no other use for them right now

I'm not gonna get too far into this but to be fair saying it "can't" happen is not objective, the thread is for suggestions and the guy gave his 2 cents, it's not up to you whether it's taken or not it's up to the mods. Let the guy live lol

Suggestions:

1. I'd like to see a Filter added in Games+ and every game forum etc to sort by last updated. This way I can quickly see if any games have updated. Currently it defaults to last message.
2. On the Latest Updates page, if you have access to higher forums, would be nice to just allow those latest updates. This of course would be an alternate way to get same results as my first suggestion.

Feedback:
I felt like the best setup was with the P1-P5 levels. I'd agree that if you are not a part of the tier, you should't be able to even see the options for those tiers. Just to limit access to select eyes only.

I thought the external website setup for controversial content was a very good idea to ensure the main LC forum stability. Always maintain a backup of external site so if it gets removed, Wait a couple of months and then reapply the backup to a new host site.

I add my support to limit the age. Most loli posts you can get away with it being a small woman or a love of the female form, but toddlercon is a difficult sell. Perhaps it only is available in the highest tiers, but is never advertised if the demand for the content is high.

Overall a great site and hope it has a longterm future!
For donations, as many options as possible and perhaps ways to make it as private as possible. Make an onlyfans with an AIbot we can join and donate to etc. Plausible deniability being the key.

After reading a lot of these comments and sort of skimming through some of them it seems to me that a lot of people are genuinely miserable on this website. what I don't understand is if you're so damn miserable and you hate the website so much, why are you still here??? If you hate the site so much and it's so bad to use, then why stomach it at all. I know I personally wouldn't use a website or service if I found myself hating the way the site was run. Idk I understand if this comment gets removed but I felt like it needed to be said that y'all are beating a dead horse and got to just get over it already, there is 5 pages of y'all screaming the same thing over and over. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I also concur with both suggestions. My idea/suggestion for the latest updates page is an indicator on the main images for the game threads, similar to status, engine, or render style, to easily show new (or returning) users to these upper ranks what content they now have access to on that page, and allow them to easily filter out the content they already had access to even before joining the site

Not adding ai realism back, <snip>

Ok. Makes sense given prior discussions on it's removal, (Host/Laws/Risk). Despite my posting record here, that's just me wasting time while waiting for games.

It's hard to pirate games that aren't being made, so anything that keeps the 'industry' ticking along would be nice. Some devs get butt hurt too easy, but maybe nudge the needle a little more their way, at least for the struggling M+ category.

There are plenty of RP sites that get the youngest looking 18+ models they can. In some countries they're illegal under strict C P laws. More countries are looking at making them illegal. It's not a good time for libertarian perverts.

I would appreciate a top rank that allowed realistic 'could be 18+' rather than 'clearly 18+', but what you can do in the face of Host, Laws, and Risk (including future risk)... 🤷‍♀️

You did a lot of good work Jack. You need a break, yeah?

Those have existed in the past. There is currently one in the VIP section. I may move it to M+ though.
yES PLEAASE. Sorry drunk pleraase asdd uncesoreed games to categoreory like i mentioned before. after atf fiasco i dont want to go onto thjere\

I feel as though the multiple coin types is a bit silly. Just have one coin type and apply different multipliers based on activity/donations/whatever. As a generic example: Activity is worth 1x coins, donation is worth 1.5x coins, and whatever activity is required for Activity2.0 coins is worth 2x coins. (Substitute the multipliers that make sense.) The current system is needlessly complicated and has to be much worse to maintain, not to mention confusing for users.

Also, just generally speaking, locking content behind paywalls is a huge put off to users like me. I've been here almost 4 years now, but I rarely post. I'm just not a social person like that. I look for information, find it, and move to my next task. I am also poor thanks to taking a massive pay loss after being laid off, so I can't even afford to donate anymore, though I have in the past. I'm lucky in that Members+ is already unlocked for me, but my time and cash is limited, and as such, I can't justify spending money on unlocking something unless I know exactly what I'm getting in return. That's not to say I won't donate whenever I can without any perks, just that if there are perks, there needs to be much more insight into what exactly you get, with examples and such.

Which leads to my next question: Wtf is the gray zone? lol

EDIT: Small suggestion for a change in the Shop. Have it display you balances at the top of the page at all times that way when you're clicking around the shop you always have your balances right there in front of you.

Yeah stop putting thing behind paywalls. There are several other sites that offer the same content or even MORE and they don't spam announcments every 2 days or make you buy virtual coins. It is honestly you trying to profit off other peoples work which is what puts people off.
The click here for annoucment before you can go anywhere is very very annoying. Who thought that was a good idea?
You want foot traffic? Let people roam free, you want money, slap a "donate here" button. Forcing people to pay to access a forum is ridiculous, no other site spams announcments or demands you pay to access their site or be limited if you refuse to "donate", it is like Mafia behaviour.

Anyway, that is my two cents, also stop banning games or removing forum posts because "you" don't like it. What you dislike, others may like and vice versa. Be more freeing. Ristrict access to "restricted zones" to maybe to accounts that are less then 6 months old, or only log in like once every 3 months or exhibit behaviour like reporting every game they don't like,

2 suggestions:

[Suggestion 1] Simplify Coin and Vault/Wallet:
  1. There should be 2 coin types max!:
    1. Activity Coin (free): Merge AC and AC 2.0 - why do these even exist? That's just confusing.
These can be used for ranks, some bling (banners, profile pic borders, whatev)
    2. Premium Coin (donation, platinum, ...): Pick one and stick with it. Why even have those 2?
These can be used for everything AC can be used + premium only bling (special banners, additional borders, ...). People love their cosmetic bling and I'm sure many are willing to contribute with real money if they get something to show off.
Note: No content paywalled behind premium only, please!
  2. Simplify the bank.
    1. Why does interest go into the wallet, not the vault? And the deposit minimum just means people need to withdraw all first, then deposit again (incl. the interest)? That makes no sense and brings no benefit. It's just useless extra clicks.
Just dump the interest directly into the vault. Done.
    2. Why distinguish between wallet and vault anyway? It would be easier if it's just one thing. You get interest on that and done.
[Suggestion 2] Improve advanced search (esp. Tag search):

Make separate fields in the tag search for:
  1. Keywords (text search)
  2. Tags: Include tags and exclude tags in fields
  3. Prefixes: (include and exclude) for things like VN, Kinetic, RenPy, RPGM, HTML, etc.
So the Tag search (or "Advanced search" or whatever search tab this ends up being) would have effectively 5 fields. Basically a mix of what "search threads" (includes prefixes) and "search tags" (includes tags) already offer, but on one search with a streamlined and simplified UI.

Bonus points if you can select / unselect the "zones" (normie, M+, VIP) with simple checkboxes in that search.

If there are things you think should be reverted, loosened, cleaned up, removed, improved, or brought back, post your suggestions here....

...Suggestions and feedback posted here will be reviewed and handled by mime and apollo. They will be the ones deciding what makes sense, what should be reverted, and what direction LC should take from here.
