As long as they don't sound out of place, is veri good

If does not take too much time away from developing more important things such as story and dialogue, music alone will not carry a title but it can improve vastly.

Any kind of music can add to the experience if carefully placed and not overused.
On the other hand, any music fitting porn scenes most likely will turn it into a generic porn movie, better to avoid those.
The Chloe series is a very good example of how music can be good. It fits the silly theme of the game perfectly.

It's welcome as long as it's used properly or at least creates a good vibe.

As long as its not to loud and fits the scene.

2 VN/Games that does it very well is "Love of Magic" and "Katawa Shoujo", both have great stories to go along with the music.

I think having a nice melodic tune in the background for ambience is always nice. Dead Cells does their music really well, it always feels like it fits exactly to the scenario you're in

even though i always play with it muted yes all games should have it because it can add alot to the overall game, however the game should also have all sounds defaulted to around 20% (some devs are getting better at it being 50% but not enough)

Playing any type of game without music is a pain. Music gives charm to the game!

Music that are atmospheric like being in the forest is tribal. Is usually a plus for me. Combat music are usually hit or miss.

I feel like games should have music, especially when it fits the theme/moment. If someone doesn't want the music, there's usually the option to just remove it in the settings.

As a rule I disable all sounds immediately. It's the rare game that has good music, and even rarer that has good music placed well enough that I want to hear it.

Off the top of my head, I can think of exactly one game I have gone back and turned the music on, and left it on. Of note, this is more of a story game than lewd game.

Start menu and credits music maybe. Otherwise I prefer just background sounds to make it more immersive.

If the music fits the scene then im all for it.
A good music background can elevate the experience pretty high.

I don't think there needs to be music all the time in a game, but it would make sense to add music during H scenes or suspenseful moments. Games that have no music at all are a bit annoying, but it doesn't bother me too much as I'll usually find my own music to play in the background.

I also don't normally play with sound but I like when the menus allow controlling volume of sounds and effects and music separately.
