Would really appreciate a system of monthly subscription through Lewdcoins to a certain subsection of the site for non paying members. Make it expensive like 20-30k LC a month so that noobs and white knights don't get easy access.

Thats not a site issue. That is a game dev issue. Or more accurately, a YOU issue. I am an android user, but I also know how much more effort it is to make a Renpy game into an android version. You have to install the android SDK, configure it, set it up in renpy, build the game out, test it in an emulator (this can be a LOOOOOT of work), then fix stuff, which prob breaks stuff in the main game, so fix that, re-build it, then publish the changes. And you have to do that EVERY time. So feeling that you are due an android version is... a little much. For mac/linux/pc, you literally just check those boxes.
Want Windows? check the box.
Want Linux? Check the box.
Want Mac? Check the box.
Want Android? Here is a link to instructions. Read it, download stuff, install it, read how to use it, configure it, link it to renpy, build (and wait, its a looooong process), then spin up an emulator, test, fix, test, fix, etc etc etc, build, done.

Other 3 OSs? 2s each. Android? At least a few hours unless your game is SUPER basic and everything goes well and you already have the stuff installed.

Either way, this has nothing to do with the site. The site does not make these games. It just provides users (uploaders, visitors, etc) a place to post it so you can find it easier. If you want to complain about missing android versions, contact the devs on their patreon, etc, or via direct message if they posted their own game. The fact that you are asking for it and someone is providing it for you means that user went through a lot of effort to unpack the win/lin version of the game, load it up in the renpy dev kit, and do all those steps above so they could upload it for you.

Usually if I ask for an apk I say thanks in advance because of this, lately though I usually just wait and see if someone else asks for one and if not I just forget bout it

That theme editor is pretty new, came shortly after the forum software update last nov/dec IIRC.
All I did was to set it to dark too.


It looks sthe same for me, but for some reason I don't have the sidebar option.

I used to be an admin here, and I had basically the same perms as Jack in most things. Ive noticed some oddities (I no longer have admin/mod powers, but for example I can still see a "Moderator" menu which is pretty much empty and only shows me a list of reviews that have been made recently). I am guessing there are some non-permission checkboxes buried in the massive hell of permissions in the backend that were not removed. This is possibly what gives me slightly different options here and there. I saw something else a few months ago that I was like "Oh, I shouldnt have that" and I was going to message Jack about it, but tested first and found it didnt work. So I still had a button, but the system rightly knew I coudlnt use it.

Um... You can already do this and I feel like it is pretty cheap. Ive had it for years, so I didnt have to pay attention, but... I think it was like 500 LC? and some other requirements like 7 days membership, read X hours, post X times, etc. But def easier than earning 20k LC. Ive been here years and I JUST now got to 6k LC. It will prob take me another 8mo to hit 20k Doing that monthly?

Ok, well that might be part of the confusion. You posted it to "how can I make the site better" thread. Members of the site are not part of the site, and neither are the devs. The mods admins cannot make the members or the devs do different stuff, other than banning them for doing stuff against the rules. So I feel there is some disconnect on how/where you ask for things.

So that means it is likely a CSS issue and possibly a theme issue. But ive also seen (never used or dug into, so I dont know the details), but there are light/dark/system css styles, and maybe this is fixed in the light and dark, but not system, or even the opposite, being fixed in light and system, but not dark? I always assumed there were only 2, and system chose light or dark, but this could explain why 2 people both appearing to use a "dark"-ish style are seeing 2 diff things if it is not a theme issue specifically. I dont think Ive ever changed it, except maybe setting it to dark, but that would have been like 4 years ago. I just looked around and found this:

Maybe comparing this to those who CAN and CANNOT see bold would help narrow down the issue. Although not sure that is something for this thread, might do better in the thread where it was discussed more.

What does surprise me, though, is that the sidebar settings are missing for me.

Oh, lol. I wonder if the "Delete post" for posts that were not mine was also a "everyone had it for a while" but it got fixed because I didnt see it a few days later. I assumed it was a xenfucko artifact from the insanely massive hellhole that is the backend of this forum software.

This actually made me laugh. Imagining everyone had this ability for a few hours and trolls going nuts deleting posts and mods freaking the fuck out trying to figure it out and stop it.

My biggest problem with the site at the moment is when you ask for an apk you either get told to get a computer which I can't afford or you get told you didn't link it correctly when you copied and pasted the link like you always have done.

A good place to start for people looking for Android ports is the koga3 website.

The highest priority issue is to ensure that the "Latest Updates" are truly the latest updates. I'm not an expert, but isn't it possible to automatically scan other sites for fresh game updates? I report updates as much as I can, but there are limitations here too - I'm not interested in all games, for example, I just ignore all projects with Japanese graphics, and many, as I understand it, like them. There are threads in which updates have not appeared for many months, while updates have been released, and there have been a lot of them. As an example:

I am 100% fine with that, I just felt that me mass reporting those would be a burden on the mods. I did "mass" report some posts recent when I found a bunch that had AI but no AI tags, or when I found a bunch with mention of animations but no tag, but after about 3-4, I felt I might start pissing off mods. If you say this is fine, I will start reporting them. Is there a limit? 10/hr? 10/day? You want me to report all at once? If I can spend a few minutes helping this, I am all for it. And yes, I do find that G+ games have more issues with this, but I do notice it less since not only are there less of them, but most I don't even click on. But if it helps, Ill click on everything and dig around. I think that if you find a game with missing images, but you cant replace them, delete the thumbnails that make it look like it is not broke as a sign that it needs images. Maybe even leave a "Please provide screenshots if you play this game" to get community support.

I feel like I'm opening Pandora's box by saying this, but... there's no limit on the number of daily reports, nor is it grounds for punishment or penalties (unless the reports are malicious or false). If something is wrong, it gets reported and we take care of it—that's the whole point of reporting.

Not long ago, a user spent 3 or 4 days reporting a ton of outdated AI games on the forum (less than 5% of those reports were for normal games), and every day we had over 70 pending reports—it was a total nightmare—but in the end we managed to sort it all out. Users may have noticed this because of the huge influx of AI games appearing in LU.

Every day we try to keep the number of reports low (under 10). The ones that usually end up staying behind are the ones that are complicated to resolve. These can be games, mods, animations, or missing assets that are difficult to replace, or games that are very large and take a long time to mirror, but eventually we end up resolving everything.

Of course, this shouldn't be taken as “Go and find all the games with broken images and report them,” but rather as “If you find a game with broken images, report it.”

For me, the site runs like absolute ass. It's laggy, it takes forever to scroll, pages load slowly. This is the only site that is like this, and it makes me think of internet from the early 2000s

Reason: That makes it very difficult to personalize the experience of LU which is frustrating.

One of my reports was recently rejected because the game is translated to English. Are there rules about what each tag is supposed to be about? Because to me 'japanese game' is a game made in Japan for japanese audience, regardless of the language of the game.

Is this one thing or 2? Im kinda confused. Are you saying Jack should make games less grindy, or are you comparing the grind in games to the grind in getting mem+? And if the latter, which is your main issue with the grind? What part are you stuck on? Is it because you cant do it, or you dont know how? If the former... The site/staff have nothing to do with the games, they are just providing you with content someone else makes.

Available time. Not everyone lives in a basement and dependent on someone else’s income. Nothing is confusing about that.

Unfortunately theme settings flushed with private browsing. @Jack Of Blades , this is a very minor issue, it would be nice if theme settings were kept in our user profiles.

Missing preview images. (note thumbnails still work so can see what they were).

Sometimes a dev might use an old or custom pic, or maybe an in-game pic at a higher res, but the most representation previews are actually what's in the game. If you care about a particular game, you can actively help. Download the game extract the missing pics, or the nearest you can find, post them in the thread and report your own post so all a mod has to do is copy them into the OP.

I took care of those reports—I think there were six of them—and it didn't take me more than 10 minutes.

As I said, you don't need to actively search for games with broken images to report them; you just need to report them when you see them. Usually, when a game that needs to be updated is reported, if it has broken images, they're fixed at the same time.

The games that will likely remain with broken images for a while are the ones that aren’t reported and the ones that nobody looks for. And for the third time, you don’t need to actively search for them to report them—just do so when you see them.

That's strange; I haven't had any problems. It could be an issue with your VPN or your connection to the LC server. I know there are some users—and even staff members—who have had VPN-related issues.

We're aware that we need to review the tags on the site, but I can't say much about it because that's more the uploaders' area.

Because over at fuck95, a lot of people wanted to know which mod banned AceCyclone, and, above all, why, and here I can read up on that; that’s really cool. Does AC have that too?
