I turn off the music and sounds at the start anyway
i have not yet found a VN where i thought music or sounds were really fitting

If it's immersive and fitting the game, absolutely! Music and sound effects make things much more memorable and enjoyable. Unless of course, it's intolerable music that completely ruins the vibe of the current scene.

I have sounds in hgames practically off anyway, or at least easily changed so the music likely would just be very far in the background if it even exists.

Very few times where I don't have the music not turned off anyway, because I don't want to get caught playing such games :P

There's some games that just have actually good music. Camp Pinewood, for example, had a banger soundtrack for no reason. I wasn't even into the artstyle that much, but I played it out because the music impressed me.

if it has music that fits the game thats cool but i wouldnt say its necessary

I find it annoying 99.9% of the time, especially when its 90db louder than any other sound on my PC so I get ear raped when I start the game the first time.

Sometimes the only reason I even remember the game is because of the music. So, yeah, music is a must, and music choice should be extremely serious.

I mean it has been said before, but it doesn't hurt if you can turn it off.

For NSFW games as long as when you open it it isn't a deafening jump scare. That tends to be my issue with most of these games that add sound and music.

Regular video games? Oh yeah, lots of games are elevated by their soundtracks.

When i start playing a AVN i always click on "mute all"
It's like there is music in a porn movie 😄
Anyway i don't exclude that there may be good music in some AVNs

I don't see why not, if a developer wants to try and fit music or sounds into a game I'll try them out and then mute them if I don't think they add to the experience.

Having music is good especially to drown out other sounds but gets on my nerves when it's just one or two themes repeated. As long as it's a toggle or adjustable I think it should be there.

Depends. A well made score is hard to pull off, but if successful can very much add to the atmosphere of a game. But a badly made score will ruin the experience.

I always lower it (it's ALWAYS too loud) and usually mute it.

I think I've never played a porn game in which the music was necessary/a positive addition.

Most of the time (in porn games) developers are putting in music to show off they figured out how to put music in a game, rather than doing something that adds to the experience.
