for me its as simple as this:
i can at least somewhat enjoy a game that has good graphics even if it has a bad plot (skip go brrrr)
i cannot enjoy a game that has bad (well, undesirable) graphics, even if it has a good plot
so graphics are a must, plot is a bonus
its like 60-75 plot which sounds crazy as i mostly skip everything without reading. But there is one game out there where the graphics are nice but the plot started out okay but it turned into this conspiracy theory fucken encyclopedia shit was whack.
Definitely plot for me. A good story can carry average graphics, but amazing visuals won’t save a game if the plot is boring or makes no sense. I get way more invested when there’s something meaningful going on — characters I care about, choices that matter, or just a world that feels alive.
That said, great graphics do help with immersion, especially in games where atmosphere is key. But if I had to pick one, I’ll always go for a solid narrative over eye candy.
its a fine balance between plot + graphics .. also dont forget gameplay! all 3 and you have a winner ... AND TIMELY UPDATES!!! Waiting for updates ruins everything!
