What are some games that started with amazing stories only to start loosing quality and become disappointments?

On top of my list is Summertime Saga which lost quality halfway as the creators started focusing more on money.
WVM which had a great plot idea only to discard it and focus mostly on sex.
And dating my daughter for trying to please the entire crowd only to end up pleasing almost no one.
What are yours?

Aurelia. The ending is so abrupt you can tell the developer went "Okay, I'm bored. Onto the next thing"

Which is better than milking it but still a shock to the senses.

maid to Please... you can tell that at some point the dev got bored and just wanted to wrap up the story

Summertime Saga - for a number of reasons. And VN - Ren'Py - DAZ - Reunion [v0.90] [Karabinek] is a good plot setup that over time turned into a dull fuckfest.
