I know right? If he's supposed to be a 12-13yo shota (based on horniness, I fapped about that much at 13) then make him a 12yo shota and dispense with the way-overused fake-18 crap that mostly just serves to annoy most loli/shota fans and most would-be supporters. It's mostly pointless/useless anyway. If the feds or a payment platform really wants to go after a dev they go by story context and appearances anyway, so in court during a jury trial (where such porn is specifically outlawed, in the US they have to rely on obscenity law anyway since all cartoon art is free speech, and fictional ages will not matter much under that law, even though those prosecutions alone are seldom successful anyway) that copy-pasted disclaimer would be about as effective as a bulletproof vest made of wet toilet paper.

The target audience is shota/loli fans. Maybe not just them. When you think about it half the population can relate, since they were all horny little boys once. Arguably a shota MC chasing lolis has the potential to reach a wider audience than your typical 20- or 40-something ped0 MC (probably even creepier to most) since then he's chasing girls in his own age bracket, even if it doesn't appeal to you in particular. Although this lost me for different reasons, mostly the usual fake 18's without even an age setter to fix that when they are obviously not meant to be 18+ and the sandbox format (though there is a good imaginary mommy BJ before that point).

Yea I can understand that. I'm not too sure if it would reach a "wider" audience, but definitely a different kind of audience. It's just not my cup of tea personally. I like VNs with girls of all ages, just not ones with naked little weiners lol. That's just my personal preference though. Also I'm with you on the fake 18 thing, I find it kind of annoying, especially when it's very obvious that they are not.

I'm assuming you don't watch much TV. This is the standard format for TV series: trailer, pilot, and then you wait, usually a whole week, for the next episode.

I think it's his frustration speaking for like years there has been dozens of demos but hardly 9 out of all of them got the complete tag. I think the perpetrator is devs doing it out of fun, it never works in the long run, you have to have some support to be motivated to end something on a better note.

To be fair, early versions of most sandbox games are like this - there aren't enough events to populate all the time slots available, so there's a lot of 'time wasting'. This is a demo - the sandbox stage has nothing yet. Give it time.

Like I said earlier, a good sandbox strategy is to indicate in the navigation exactly where the interaction is available so the player doesn't go where nothing is happening.
Also, a button to advance time if no event is happening at a particular time.

This isn't a finished AVN. Really it's a prolog with a bit of background story/setup, so of course the sandbox part is just empty scaffolding at this point. I mean I don't do sandboxes anymore but even back when I did this was common for early releases.

Reason being most people crank that up to max in options so are used to it at instant text speed. When words are slowly scrolling at half the speed they normally read at with nothing they can do about it that tends to be annoying, like being stuck behind an Amish carriage or a tractor on a 1-lane road with no way to pass them while you don't want to take all day just to go 10 miles. Used sparingly (ie during heated arguments between characters) it mostly has the effect you are looking for, just don't leave that effect on constantly.
