What's your problem with asking a dev (whom you can't stand) for stuff in an aggressive way, he's not your dog.

LOL, don’t love, nor hate the dev. Didn’t ask him anything. I stated my opinion, plain and simple. I also messaged him about it and he has yet to respond which is ok with me. It’s his project, he can do what he wants with it. Doesn’t mean I will not complain about something I do not like. Sounds like the only person getting butt hurt over it is you?

- Models are nice, hopefully a few more lolis later in the story.
- I actually think the open world looks pretty good, I like the rooms.

The bad:
- The speed of dialogue and the "..." just really are more annoying than adding something to the story.
- The transitions in the open world from room to room fades and causes double click issues. Just go right to the next room.
- 2.5 gb initial release with maybe 10 minutes of play seems super high and will scare some people away.

My Advise:
- Keep the sandbox/open world but don't do too much grind or pointless clicking or stat padding.
- Add an in game walk through or hint system to suggest to the player what to do next.
- Try and trim down the size if you can, that will open the game up to larger audience later on.
- Oh and more lolis and milf (personal preference)

i don't remember where it is but in options.rpy you can set the speed..
unfortunately, some idiot devs have discovered they can force it per script line displayed.. why do they think everyone reads like a 2nd grade student???
anyways i'm hoping he did the global setting in options, easier to fix.. if he did, i'll let you know what to do.

No it’s muffed. Changing it doesn’t do anything. He has the setting wrong or something.

A good sandbox strategy is to indicate in the navigation exactly where the interaction is available so the player doesn't go where nothing is happening.
Also, a button to advance time if no event is happening at a particular time.

I've been seeing a few teachers talking about it online, but (in the US) we have literally been teaching our kids how to read wrong for two generations.
Apparently millennials were the last generation to be taught phonics, so the zoomers were told to guess what words are based on vibes.
over half the country(adults) cannot read at a 6th grade level.

truly sad cuz, reading is fundamental! haha

anyways and also to boog, you would have to use unren to unrpa the files, then using search n replace, replace {cps=20} {w} {w=1} {w=1.5}
with the cps one, there is also 5, 6, 10..
so it was a per line wait for mouseclick, as well as a timed wait and also the slow typo speed..
if you wish to fix it, go for it, i won't provide the files since it's not my game, but info is free....

Quick mod I made, now you can rename the character, the text comes directly instead of fading in or having pauses after the scores, I removed the dark transitions that are very annoying when navigating the map, I made the hud a little cleaner. Initially, I was going to implement my multimod in the game, but since there is not much content yet... I will wait for the next update from the developer and see what the fixes will be. @Achilicheese If you want to implement something like this directly in the game, feel free. If possible, put this temporary mod at the beginning of the game download so that people can use it only until you release a new update.


Installation: Extract directly to onesummeraponatime-win (if you extracted script.rpa delete all .rpy and .rpyc before installing the mod.)​

Sounds almost like One Summer In Loliwood II. And yes Upon is spelled wrong, oops, oh well, trying it anyway.

Edit: After playing it among other annoyances OSIL II it def is not; along with sandbox shit another crap "loli" AVN where everyone is 18 . Personally I just wouldn't have a pay site linked to it (no money to follow = the "FIB" wouldn't waste time if it's not easy for them to find the artist of cartoon porn) and then make the ages what they are actually supposed to be like the OG OSIL was. If they are supposed to be 10 then they are stated as such by default. So sick of "everyone is 18" shit. Fictional cartoons = fictional ages, usually without even fictional birth certificates to prove it.

Yeah, I agree with the above comment about the text scrolling. I can't stand it even set to max.

I didn't see the message as aggressive just stating the obvious, aside from the bit about putting the game in the recycle bin.

Users have to give feedback if the game is to improve any and thus saying the text scrolling sucks is a way to improve it.

Don't understand why the text speed is so. The setting in preferences doesn't work, because in every bit of dialogue, it is fixed at {cps =20} [with a few instances of =5 or =10].
Also, there is the facility to change Sofie's relationship, but there's no facility to change the MC name.
Yes - I know you can unrem the files then edit the scripts to correct the above, but its a bit of a faf.

This has potential, but there are some glaring issues.

1. The framing device is unnecessary. I don't understand why so many devs do this "main character tells their story to a nameless player" thing, it just takes me out of the game.

2. Redesigning the text box is not only unnecessary, it seems to have broken it. The text speed slider does nothing. Please fix.

3. If the MC is renamable, give the option to do that before any dialogue.

4. Dreams are so lame.

5. Capitalise properly. This is a VN, not a chatroom.

Oh that's why. That's insane. Dev, what drugs were you on that made you think this is a good idea?

Setting CPS to whatever you want (for whatever reason) is fine. Obfuscating your code so CPS cannot be easily adjusted to the player's preference is not so fine.

When you conceal your code in archives, it's as if you're telling your audience to experience the game as you demand, not in the way they prefer.

Pretty please, with sugar on top, fix the text speed! It is PAINFULLY slow even at max speed.

Cute girls, especially like the tomboy sister, definitely keeping an eye on this one. Faster text speed would definitely help.

Yeah sometimes I get in a mindset or bad mood where just about everything rubs me the wrong way for one reason or another. It's why I mostly quit watching the news on TV, last time I did that while drunk too I ended up shooting the TV with a .22 and it cost me $1000 to replace it. That was a few years ago but hell I don't even remember what it was that pissed me off so much. Prob a news report that Trump lost or something.

I mostly just ignore sandboxes. The intro before that point has a good mommy BJ scene at least, even if it was just the MC's imagination. At least I can relate to this MC more than most, I was about that horny when I was 12-13 too and beating off 5-10x a day whenever I had a free 15 minutes.

This is more of a game you play that has sex in it vs a game you play for the sex. It's kinda like the Agent 17, you will work on things, collect money, build relationships, unlock actions, etc. There is nothing wrong with it, it is fun to play. I look foreward to the game getting developed further down the line. It will be a fun to play during my down time.
