My grandfather's brother had tattoos from his Navy days. They were greenish/blue blobs by the time I saw them on his arms. He wouldn't explain what they were. I think he was slightly embarrassed by me pointing them out as a tyke.Piercings and tattoos can be fine, but some people take it too far. Then you have some people take it too far and then wonder why people judge them and well if you didn't want people to comment or have thoughts about your life choices you can always make different life choices or accept that your choices will affect how people perceive you. If you have a face tattoo you probably aren't going to get a that secretary job for instance.

I support piercings and tattoos in healthy moderation. . . on other people if that's what they want. I don't think it makes you look older or younger though nor do I think it is a generational trend.
I mean aging and location are a factor for the longevity of them looking right. The Navy here restricts the size and type of tattoos are that are allowed.
