Piercings and tattoos can be fine, but some people take it too far. Then you have some people take it too far and then wonder why people judge them and well if you didn't want people to comment or have thoughts about your life choices you can always make different life choices or accept that your choices will affect how people perceive you. If you have a face tattoo you probably aren't going to get that secretary job for instance.

I support piercings and tattoos in healthy moderation. . . on other people if that's what they want. I don't think it makes you look older or younger though nor do I think it is a generational trend.

My grandfather's brother had tattoos from his Navy days. They were greenish/blue blobs by the time I saw them on his arms. He wouldn't explain what they were. I think he was slightly embarrassed by me pointing them out as a tyke.

I mean aging and location are a factor for the longevity of them looking right. The Navy here restricts the size and type of tattoos are that are allowed. There's a chance that they were representative of his unit or something and he just didn't want to get into it.

as an old man with full sleeves of blackwork i would say -
tattoos are fine if you keep it below neck line, whole body is too much, tattoos can be bad, tattoos can be good, quality matter, consistency matter
piercing is fine in very small quantity and size, one nose stud is enough, one nose ring is enough, one pair of bars in nipples, one bar in navel, all is fine when it's just one
don't touch your no-no zone! no metal around pussies, dicks or bumbums, safety first
tunnels are bad, fuck off tunnels, back to the tribe with you

Saw a good meme on the subject that said something to the effect of "My body is a temple... to myself. I'll decorate it as I see fit."

tatoos can be super sexy on the right person. But completly ruin the look of another. just my. HO

In my country, most of people will go to tattoo is because he is a gangster
And now the gang keeping touch with government
so gang become bigger and bigger, right now the gangster become a fashion
So everyone probably got some tattoo, and that's very unbelievable things to me

Agree. Prefer natural look - but shaved pubes, etc of course.

Do any of you have face tattoos? And why did you do that? Would be interesting to know. Most face tats are very childish looking. Not tiny works of art.

I think tasteful is the key here. When they look like they stuck half a hardware store through their skin and have more ink than a navy seal camo has camo face paint, that's a turn off.

keep tattoos off the face and neck for sure and preferably only a small amount anywhere that isn't arm sleeves as for piercings only small ones anything big just looks wierd

That's some real accuracy description. It couldn't be said better.(y)

No tats and only ears pierced, please.

tats can look cool , but there is a point that it can be to much

This! And thank you for participating.

Prefer no tattoos and no piercings. I also abhor nose rings, the one that goes through the middle of the nose.

As long as there are no tattoos on the face, I am fine with it. I've seen some incredible ones, that were real pieces of art. But generally it is really hit or miss depending on the artist and cost. Cheap ones can be good, but in my opinion it makes sense to really invest in something, when you put it on your skin.
