NTR is not a dream, its a nightmare. Just say NO to NTR!

I prefer NTR in games when its realistic like for example you stop paying attention to your wife in game so she finds someone who will. I dislike it when it happens for no reason other than the guy was hot. It's best when there's a story behind the reason and not just cheating.
yeah no thanks

This is kinda off topic but I remember @SeveredRealms posted an anti-ntr harem fans discord server in OP, anyone know if it's still around if so can someone share the link here, I have a sudden urge to hang out with some fellow harem/anti ntr fans lol

This is a thread for all NTR discussion. Please note if you are a fan of the genre that's fine but do not come into the thread and troll people or start arguments. Bashing of other members for or against NTR will not be tolerated. Talking about a game or dev is fine as long as you are not bashing them. I personally am not a fan of the genre but as a moderator here I have to remain open minded and not judgmental of those that do like it. So please be adults and have peaceful discussions in this thread. Below are the three versions of NTR.

A Japanese porn acronym that has 3 different meaning depending on the porn content and your pov

#1 Netorare = get cucked without consent, a betrayal cucking, a cruel cheating of your partner where he/she might leave you for a better lover
#2 Netori = you steal someone's wife/gf/girl
#3 Netorase = plain cuckolding, cucking with consent, you are willing to be cucked and she has your blessing to cheat on you

Note: if the girl is the cuck, you may add "reverse" to all of the above categories of NTR
Ex. Reverse Netorare
#1 NTR = She cheated on me and I wept, she loved my pathetic sobbing, she broke up with me after finding a better guy
#2 NTR = I stole Eric's girl, he saw us in his house having sex, Eric wept in front of us having sex but we did not care, that was 3 years ago
#3 NTR = I told my girl to cuck me and now I am a pro cuck, my girl loves to cuck me and I love it too, I'm very happy with my cuckold life
Any ntr doesn't matter what it is is disgusting. I can understand any kink except ntr

posted "based" immediately got targeted by a furry mod lol

I still don't get why people get so upset with NTR. I mean, if you don't like, then you don't like. But why so mad about it?

Because it attacks the fanbase by fucking up genres. If I'm watching an action/adventure movie and it takes a sudden hard swerve into "actually nevermind all that, MC is defeated and everyone dies or joins the enemy, the end" I'd probably be pissed off too. "What the fuck was that? Who wrote that, why did they put it in the story?"

idk why people think that sort of bitchslapping of audience expectations is suddenly acceptable if it's a romance story. It's not like a twist in a movie, for those you spend the entire early-film setting up something that can be a sudden realization for the viewers. This is more like a bad sequel, damaging to the original story for being canonized.

Like, don't get me wrong, if it says it's NTR from the jump then whatever. That's clear signposting of what you'll be seeing, anything that happens is on you, the viewer. But if you're halfway through a romance/Harem/whatever story and the author suddenly gets the "great idea" to have LIs cucked away? Terrible writing decision, pisses off everyone who wanted the parts of the story that aren't that.

Even if an author tries to 'balance' it with an NTR path and a Harem path it mostly just creates more frustration because you've now got two audiences who want very different things, which slows down development for both paths, and you're probably not good enough to actually balance them instead of favouring one and making the other path an unwanted tumor.

So this basically rules out "optional NTR" as well, no?

"It's not a nightmare young Warchief, but a vision! Follow me and I will reveal what the future holds!" -Warcraft 3 Medivh vs Thrall conversation quote. Anyways ntr says nothing to me but I respect the fact some people like it. I've played many games before I realized ntr has a tag and is a fetish. Later I found that ntr divides into subgenres and netorase has a certain charm in some situations and sometimes forced ntr, when the female remains loyal to the MC but is forced can sometimes blend into the story and make it better, but just for the sake of seeing such a thing, no.

Break into my house and take my wife. Take our daughter too, while you're at it.

It's just NTR. Can't believe people are arguing over this genre.
Actually this is the most respectful conversation on the subject I have come across.

Netori = :bndr0023:

The other 2 = 🫎
