Overview:
This is the story of MACY (the mother of the main character in Such a Sharp Pain). Macy is surrounded by her father and mother and her little sister. While she discovers love in the arms of her boyfriend, her peculiar family will lead her to the discovery of more interesting experiences.​

This standalone develops MACY's story from the age of 14 until she gives birth to MARC (the MC of SSP). You don't have to play SSP to understand this game (although I encourage you to do so), and you don't have to play MACY to understand SSP.
This is just the prologue.

A short intro to the spin-off backstory of Such a Sharp Pain (SSP). The story revolves around SSP's Main Character's mother as a young girl. While I'm not crazy about the 'Female Protag' tag, Ketzal does such a good job with the models and storytelling that I honestly didn't mind it (even though it was pretty short). Overall, not a bad start.

My only criticism is that this side project might take time away from SSP's development time, meaning updates to SSP will take longer. I know lots of developers like to have several games in progress because they make different teams for each game and often times if they're waiting on something for one game, they can use that downtime to work on a different game... I just hope that SSP remains Ketzal's main focus and that this game only gets worked on in lulls between updates.

Then again, some Devs need to have more than one project eating away at their brain. Too much concentration can lead to the dulling of the brain, writer's block, so to speak. One of the most successful devs I have come across, Killer7, has two different games and he rotates between them for big releases. I tend to support the Devs choice to work on whatever pleases them, so they stay safe and sane, especially from burn out. And, I also really enjoy SSP too.

We still don't have 100% confirmation if Macy is dead so it is kind of weird to see a potential love interest in SPP being with other men. But I enjoyed this a lot so I will definitely keep playing. It seems like this family as been fucked up for a very long time
