I would try loading an earlier save if you have one. Check autosaves and quicksaves as well. Might be you saved at the wrong point or something.

Why does the story hardcut from MC & Kasumi in the restaurant to MC & April in the same restaurant? Only to then later cut back to Kasumi again?

Guess Kasumi wasn't yet really ripe for lewds and April might have scored high on votes, hence the long flashback I guess?

But calling it "hardcut" seems right, Dev should IMO start to fumble around with fades a bit until he finds some style to indicated his flashbacks better.
The one with MC and his mom in the cafe cutting to his dad and mom in the same place threw me off a bit too, first time I saw it.
And that was with her hair making it somewhat easy to recognize

That seems like an issue with your copy of the game, then. Did you do a fresh full download or just an update and add it to a previous version you had? I know I didn't have any issue with my normal save with a fresh download of the full game, although as another person said, there was a weird issue with the previous version's vote playing again without any images.

Weird, did you previously use a compressed version, or have some sort of patch added at some point? That's the only other thing I could think of. Possibly you may have used UnRen on a previous version of the game to mess with variables or something? Usually getting that kind of script incompatibility issue happens when a patch or mod is missing after one was previously there, but this game doesn't require one, so I'm not sure what could be affecting the script.

It plays like there is a missing scene (or two) for the transition. I thought it was a coding bug at first. But very awkward.

I didn't think compressed/uncompressed makes a difference unless your save has explicit image filenames for some reason. Usually those are defined as scenes and those scenes referenced in the script so the save file shouldn't have anything but the scene ID in it.

I mean, I'm personally more interested in the incest stuff than any of the other non-loli/hebe girls in the game. Like, I do not give one single flying fuck about the nun (or any of the teachers), or the mother that owns the Onsen, or basically any of the girls in the older houses at the orphanage, really, outside of general porn game interest (the models are all mostly good, and the scenes/animations are decent for a HoneySelect rendered game, so I'm not turned off of any of it, but it's just not exactly why I'm here). But the incest at least adds something beyond just "another traditionally hot adult woman for the harem".

Like I get that for many loli/hebe fans, any characters with boobs beyond A-Cups are undesirable, but some people actually like to see a variety of girls, and that's what this game was sold on, and having the incest plotline with the sister constantly teased and not followed through on is a massive let-down for anyone looking forward to that. The fact that they couldn't include her scene but then turned around and included a flashback scene with the daughter/cousin later on makes it feel even worse. Like, it's not as bad as a dream sequence, but it's pretty damn close.
