One of my hard drive is dead and it's 988Mo of animation and comics loose with it. It's noting for you but it's a big lost for me BUT i'll try to make a thread next week with some good loli content.

Damn, sorry to hear. Hard drive failure is a pain. I’ve never experienced it, but I’ve heard horror stories of people losing countless hours of work or other important things. Hope things look up for you in the future!

Thank you very much for your support, it's just a hard drive. I just make this post to explain that i won't post thread in the next day it's nothing serious.
It will take me some time to buy a new one but i'll make my best to contribute for the community.

Sad to hear about a dead hard drive, as a former creative, I would say that sucks a lot to lose all that effort regardless of the size.
I feel your pain.

Id say moving forward, you might want to secure yourself with a ssd for the currently worked on projects and probably use hdd for shelving and archival purposes
I still use my almost 2 decades old hdd for cold storage (plug in to store, and plug out and put somewhere stable), still works. Just my 2c and cheer up! (y)

Oof, that really sucks losing a drive always hits harder when it’s stuff you actually curated yourself

RIP

Maybe it died out of solidarity with LCs troubles

I recommend server HDDs. I have had three disks working since 2013, and my health (I constantly monitor it with the help of utility programs) is still 100%. In general, it's useful to do back-ups of your files periodically. Given the specifics of your content on a lost HDD, you should not contact data recovery specialists from dead HDDs. It is better to duplicate such files on BD-R.

Oof, that’s rough. Losing files to a dead drive is the worst. Hope you can recover something, and I’ll definitely check out your thread next week.
