discussion How long does it take you to get through games?

It depends on the game no? like, rpg maker games are quite short, ,like 10 or 15 hours, i don't understand you question

Obviously a question that's hard to quantify, but I often see people say "Oh this game is great, but too short" - I'll download it, but it takes me ages. If the script is good, I generally try and read everything. If I find I'm skipping through dialogue, it's probably not the game for me, unless the visuals are top notch. Honestly though - quality in script usually goes hand in hand with visuals from everything I've seen.

Thoughts?

With just AVNs? Depends if ChatGPT wrote it or not. If the dialogue is actually riveting with no unnecessary filler I'll read about 200-250 WPM or so not counting the time I stop to fap (Visual = show us, don't tell us with 5,000 adjectives per scene, esp when it comes to visual descriptions, other senses like taste and smell that can't be shown with a picture usually get a pass). If ChatGPT did write it I'll end up bored and skip most of it and only read just enough to get the plot so those tend to go way faster (often just the first few sentences per scene).

I usually take my time to see everything in games(i mostly play open world games)

1st play through I read a lot and try the game. every other time skip!!!!! until new. so could be hours to minutes

I play mostly Visual Novels, so they all about reading. I choose them above 1.5G of size and they usually last me 5-12 hours.
