Rpg's, no doubt. The evolving of details and reality will make this genre fantastic over the next years. Have to save for new video cards though.

Most likely RPG's They are normally fun, but the modding scene is what makes the games even better. turning something like Skyrim into a life sim where you are living off the land hunting camping and shit like that makes me love those types of games.

If you were forced to play only one genre of game for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

For me I think it would be either RPG's or something equivalent. I think this genre offers the most out of all the others.

I'm interested what you guys may pick?

RPG or VN
RPG covers almost every game since games in essence playing a role as an in game character
VN to actually gets me to start reading

RPG most likely just because it's a very broad umbrella category that can include tons of different types of games from series that I already like to play (stuff including Final Fantasy, OSRS, Divinity, Disco Elysium, Persona, etc). Also a lot of them are pretty long so probably pretty easy to always have something new to sink time into forever.

Strategy.

Relatively broad so there's a bunch there, and it hits a lot of things I absolutely love... But it'd be tough to give up shooters, platformers, and roguelikes.

I am loving the split between people mentioning porn tags and game genres though.

I was going to say "puzzle game" as any single other game could get boring after you 100% it, but I really like the "strategy" idea being thrown around here, either turn based or real time. Something like Starcraft could give you a similar level of replayability as a puzzle game while also being a little more active than, let's say, Tetris.
