Near then lewd corner icon, you can see the forum,lastest updates tab, Move this menu to the left to see the shop tab. Click on the small arrow next to the shop to see the bank. Here is an operating guide

I prefer to hide in the background myself. It just feels safer. I'm not really any good at small talk, and I tend to be overly critical of anything I write online, so usually I just don't, especially when lurkers areas seem full of confident posters and extroverts.
