it's a rare occasion for good stories to be in porn games honestly especially ntr with the same formula. imo its a good bonus and leads me to pay attention more to a game but if I wanted i great story i usually just play non porn games

While I do like reading the story, most of the time I start playing with the sex in mind and end up skipping the story (I did it recently because the only character i liked only had content pretty far into the game) through sometimes if I start because of the story I do manage to read it

I never skip story in porn games. If game is that uninteresting that I am tempted to skip the story I just delete the game and start another one.

I skip through the story for a bit, to get an idea of what the game's like. then if I like it I start over.

yea same here i think. if it's just the porn cutscenes you're interested in, why play a game instead of going to gelbooru or e621 or something. games that value your own participation and the lead up are so much more interesting than some Yet Another DLSite Slop. hence why i think text-based games with minimal art grab my interest the best

I was thinking about this the other day and wondering if its why i enjoy porn games so much. sex without buildup just does nothing for me and porn games scratch that itch of a slow build up too the naughty parts. I used to never skip the story in porn games. Only . . . i've now played / tried thousands of porn games over the years. At some point, you start to get a feel if the story sucks / not worth your time / you've played it fifty million times before.
I feel the same way with video games, TV shows, and movies.

At some point, you start wondering, do i really want to watch another TV show based on zombies? After seeing x amount of stuff, the material starts to feel played out.

for me the story is very important. there are only a few games that i play which get forwarded to get to the juicy bits.

It depends on my mood. There are quite a few VNs out there where I'm completely engrossed in the story, and am actually annoyed as fuck when a random sex scene occurs. A lot of sex in these kinds of story-heavy games feel gratuitous and/or obligatory. It's like "we're sitting here having a deep heart-to-heart...by the way, let's fuck."

I know it's tough to balance the two, sometimes, but there are some stories where I think less sex is better. Especially if it's just sex that's shoehorned in because you don't want people to gripe in your comments.

But then there are the days where I just want a quick fap. Bring on the debauchery! The dirtier the better, baby! Lmfao.
