If the renders are great, but the story is horrible, I skip the whole game. I've enjoyed some games with average renders, but pretty nice story. Never skiped on those

I don't have much tolerance for bad or mediocre stories, so I mostly skip them.

I skip on most VNs, I only play kinetic VNs if they have really good renders but I get really bored clicking through the story so I just skip it until I find something that I like, and then I read the story of the part that I like.

A lot except if its a good or interesting story like "Summer Crush" and "Summer with Mia". These games picked my interest otherwise "skip" to the scenes.

Unfortunately I do it more often than not now. If I download a game just because a character looks hot and there is not gallery mod…skip. I wish I had more patience.

Imho skip is necessary when game is inconsistent or story sucks also good way to check a game out especially in renpy in early development. I hate wasting time for something that is not worth my time.

I always want to skip to the hot scenes and then actually overskip them. Then I have to rewind back. Happens every time

when the plot is obviously very weak and cliche or when dialogue goes on for too long when the the idea of the scene is clear.

Im completely the opposite, if a game is badly written or not proofread I'll just delete it and move on to the next one.
With that being the case, all the games I play the storyline interests me so I don't skip through it. If anything I tend to skip through the sex scenes.
