The goal is to make LC cleaner, easier to understand, and safer for the site going forward.

If the non-harem route is unique or deviates significantly from the harem route I take those too. But generally the harem route seems to be the canon or preferred route, so I typically take that first unless the game indicates that the non-harem route is the canon route (or the most developed route). But most games seem to make the harem route the default/canon route and anything else is just cut down from the harem route, so if it's like that I won't bother with the other routes.
Harem ending, 100% of the time. If the harem ending doesn't include all the LIs, I will very likely drop the game as soon as I find out. I hate when developers do that.
Harem is typically my first playthrough target, but most of the time, I know who my target would have been if there was no harem ending. My best example would be Acting Lessons, up until the big event, I'd have definitely taken a throuple ending, but I was very satisfied with the girl I chose in the end.
The thing that bothers me with harem endings is when it's an excuse to render an orgy scene and then just show highlights of all the girls solo endings without getting the full endings for them. If you're creating a harem route, have a proper harem ending that is at least mostly unique to that scenario. You couldn't go adventuring in the jungle with girl A, help girl B start her singing career as her full time manager, start a company with girl C, and still raise your new kid with your stepmom back at home, then all get back together for a final orgy 3 weeks later. Just makes me roll my eyes and not save the game to my "go back to play again" folder.
