How does everyone keep track of all the games you've played?

I don't.
I finish a game then my mind just deletes all my memories playing the game, I have been playing the same game for years now.

I just go by memory if a game is good enough I'll remember it when a new update comes if I don't it wasn't meant to be. It's also fun to re-discover titles you played long ago by accident after they went through a large number of updates.

Did you... beat it ?

It's in my head what I play but I also keep a copy of the last release in a HDD. When a new version comes out I play the new version the move it to the played folder and delete the previous version. This has saved me countless times when I had to load up and old save and roll back or something due to a botched save ect... When the games are completed I keep the game and put (FINAL) in the begining of the name.

When I try out a game, I make sure to index it in different notepads depending on if I have no interest in the game, a "meh" category, and finally an active update one.

I always make sure that I include the latest version, where I found it, and maybe some notes to help me remember what it was about.

What about everyone else? What do you all do, if anything?
I have a separate partition on my pc just for games, videos and comics. I have a naming system that tells me what I have read/played and where it is in development. Anything I do not want to keep gets deleted.
I have specific sections for games with specific content that I read/play the most.

Bookmarks are my very good friend. I don't want to complicate the process. Bookmarks is good enough for me.

I just keep everything on my external HD and have games that I'm playing in a specific folder and games that I want to continue playing in another folder after I've finished the current content. If it's a completed game or a game that I didn't like enough to keep updating (but that I didn't really dislike) I'll put it in a folder for games that I've played, If I really don't like it I've got a text file with the game names and I'll delete it from storage to free up space.

By having a download folder full of 300000000000000 version xx+1 games and then forgetting they exist when they get abandoned because I never see an update again of course!

I only remember the ones that are my favorites.. there aren't many and those are in my head.

Every other one I'm thinking... did I play this?

I use my memory, easiest way to sift through the pile of mediocre VN's that I've played. If I remember the VN its simply that good, and will regularly check updates for it

Wait... Keep track? I wish i did this... I have a massive folder of "i'll get to these someday..." But mostly i try some and they get moved to a "Favorites" folder. I should really add a "Played" and "Unplayed" folder just so i know where i left off. Closing in on like 2TB of VN's... it gets hard to keep track of.

I don't... just play stuff till I realize I've played it already and then play it through anyways ^^

Oh, it's easy. Just don't have a life so all this IRL shit does not clutter your memory and you can remember all the degen shit you do at your pc

I don't keep the track, I just store the name, so sometimes I still download the already played version.

Bookmarks brother. Also by seeing the plot synopsis/ previews of a game I can usually tell if I've played it before

Google sheet with a lot of additional columns with tags etc so easy to search. Obviously a bit annoying to maintain 😅
