There are a few out there i liked which i'll try to remember though i am sure i'm forgetting a few.
VN style
Sisterly lust (season 1/2/3)
Family Venture
Hail dicktator
lust theory
midnight paradise
Thirty days
summer with mia/returning to mia
Ripples
babbysitter
timestamps
dreams of desire
------
less VN more game like
Desert stalker
The DeLuca Family
Rewind

For me is:

Now and then
Mist
Desert stalker
Hot sand of antartica
Master of raana

VNs aren't my favorite type of games for this genre.

That honor goes to Fallout and Wasteland.

Adult - Now and Then
Non Adult - Wasteland, from 1980s. Far superior to Fallout and its series, which were inspired by it. In WL war took place in 1998, not some weird far future that was like the 1950s.

For sure The Mist and Desert Stalker. I would have loved to see them add more to the story of The Mist, like aftermath after everything was finished. I didn't want the game to end to be honest.

In my coomstate I didn't even consider normal games, Fallout 2 or Wasteland 3 definitely takes the nr1 spot in that case.

The apocalyptic games that i have played and enjoyed so far.
In the works:
Hot Sand of Antarctica
Desert Stalker
The Sunset Fairies - (i like the redhead twins - the dialog could use a little TLC)
Finished:
Now and Then

They ruined Wasteland with 2 and 3. Made it more like Fallout. The original text based combat was better. Classic form for 1980s games from that developer.

They had no choice as the old style wouldn't have sold as much. I love all three Wasteland games but prefer Fallout 1&2 over them all.

Nothing really big why it's just that your the hero in Fallout, and in Wasteland it's a whole ranger team.

Interim Domain is not the "Mad Max" kind of apocolyptic game (it's focused on the supernatural/afterlife aspects of everyone getting nuked), but it's not bad if you get past the odd storytelling style. The same author also did "Now and Then" (Zombie apocolypse) which was really good.
Put me in the Desert Stalker camp as well, that's a fun and sexy game.

That's kind of why I prefer Wasteland (only 1.) Not trying to fight whole battles by yourself. Also, the stupid pseudo-1950s in the far future thing.

Lets hope they make another game in the future but it wont be soon as their working a Bioshock inspired Steam Punk RPG, and a few other games.

I like the games where decisions need to be made but if you have to decide on too many things that have no consequence it can get really annoying. I don't have an example in mind but will look for one.

So its still in early development but I'm looking forward to more of the story and game fleshing out but try The Fapocalypse its got a long way to go but the premise is your the last man left after a disease wiped out all men (except you, shocker!)

Anything with RPGmaker or HTML. NTR, futa (or any potential LI that has a dick for a male MC), monster girl, elderly, fat ugly guys for a female protag, especially if very aggressive. Anything with blackmail. Kinetic Novels, because they aren't games and they suck. Anything with cartoony graphics (that goes for adult or regular games.) Anything with any grinding or having to find the right location to go. Minigames.

I'm glad I have a Commodore 64 emulator and a version of the old Wasteland that works for it, so I can still play that sometimes. Games they make nowadays the difficulty is way over the top.

Wasn't there a remake or remastered version of Wasteland on t he PC. I remember reading about if a few years ago?

Still yeah the difficulty of certain games has gone over the top lately.
