I've long since been disappointed in Assassin Creed after III. With my buddies, we'd used to dream of a Japanese based Assassin's Creed when we visited Kyoto. Now, we have lost faith.

Ironically that's being made (Assassin's Creed Shadows, Feb 14th), but I am almost certain that it will end up not feeling very japanese at all. Shoehorning in a diversity samurai during the Azuchi-Momoyama period in1579 is a pretty bold red flag to me.

The black samurai thing is on the very bottom of issues the game during that demo if you pause is using assets from older titles there-is viking/Egypt items they put a tory gate as a village entrance and added in stuff that was never around in that time period.

Back in september before the game was suppose to come out a ubi executive messed up and let it slip over half the devs were new the game itslef was in a alpha state

Na ubisoft has tencent and that saudi arabia group looking to buy them there name will be used as a doll so the masses will stil think there around like how everyone thinks grand theft auto 6 has the same team as gta5 LOL like hello everyone even the rdr2 core staff left gta6 will be a censored shell compared to the ps3 games and yeah always remember grand theft auto 5 team was around when we got the xbox 360 in 2005 as a new console.

I actually heard a conspiracy theory that these game studios are being sabatoged so that Tencent can buy them up cheap.

Do not forget the hype/jerk train for konami because they tossed out mgs collection even though its worse than the ps3 version and there tossing out the mgs 3 remaster deal.

There are way more gullible idiots out there than ever team red has shown that.

God I pray Snake Eater remake is good, the Fox Engine from MGS5 is phenomenal and I've heard MGS3 is the best one. I tried playing it a couple years ago, but I couldn't deal with the jank.

THe remaster version has way better controls the worse is the base ps2 then there is the improved ps2 version but you can also go with pc xbox emulator version with custom controls.

Killing off its own graphics engines, entering the saturated mobile gaming market and producing gacha machines that have just received a partial ban in Japan, Konami really knows how to plan ahead.

I am not going into the fact the anime skips over the whole uploading someone to the internet jonneys girlfriend in order to be reborn a idea taken straight from altered carbon that could have been used in the anime and as a respawn system for the game.

Have a hidden secret area so when you die your original body dies but you respawn there you can also see your clones.

If i had that budget with the 7years dev time i would have made a way better game.

I truly believe that the bigger the studio, the more diminishing returns there are. This happened with Cyberpunk, and that, combined with the brain drain and the careless expansion, resulted in a game that barely moved and that was clearly the result of chaos.

Imagine a studio of 60 people that has to expand to 400 in 3 years and the best idea you can come up with is to hire with diversity in mind instead of capacity and commitment. Obviously, their game was going to go to shit.
And a Ghost in the Shell got a curse on them, no rpg for the game that have the best lore

Bethesda is not organized by stocks, but its problem came from rapid expansion and poor leadership, I agree with that. As for the series, they missed a huge opportunity by not focusing on New Vegas and perhaps going for a more western feel.

I don't think it was a missed opportunity per se but more of a "Yeah that would have been cool" the show was still incredibly successful without it.
But it was hinted we could see New Vegas in S2 during the Game Award speech when they got the award for the series.

Remember after the disaster of redfall it was said microsoft just tossed zenemax(bethdesda) cash never took the wheel that is what i meant old bethdesda never had that amount of funding and just went with that new studio huge team but tossed out mid to crap games.

The fallout show should have shown the las vegas military base were super muntant's came from and what happened to usa govt basically go fallout 1-4 lore make it a tv show but no censorship bs.

they had the look down pat but it felt like you were level one never did anything but looked around.

Well take me of the Shogun list that show was a good watch would still recommend season one but it looks like the show got awards at the golden globes so of course they are making it a yearly show now FFS

The show ended because of what it was based on maybe a season 2 squeeze that out but make it like the walking dead? yep toss this show in the crap pile.

I can see a army from Africa with rap music fighting the Spanish/Japanese then in season 3 America shows up with muskets or perhaps china riding dragons with firework cannons. Just look at all the shows that became trash when the tossed out the source material then went the clipboard/esg dei/boardroom/panel route
