Ok, slightly oddball answer here: Hentai Highschool++. It's an old game sir, but it checks out.
The player agency in that game is pretty high compared to others. There are some interesting mods for it floating around also.

Does genuine surprise/shock/"creeped out" count?
I played an avn a few years ago (I think it was a LOP game), in any case. One of the secondary characters in the game was the MC's personal assistant/secretary (male, not female character).
The shock for me was that the personal assistant looked exactly, and I mean exactly like my personal assistant at the time. The names were even similar, "Jean Paul" and Paul.
I was so shocked and creeped out that I had to turn the game off.

absolutely, haven't had any 'creeped out' experiences, but definitely had 'gross out' experiences where a game had a tag that I didn't know about.

Sadly, the grossed out is an all to common experience.
It's amazing how so many Dev's can spend dozens of hours creating /whatever/ content for their game, but cannot take several minutes to write a detailed change log that actually takes that content into account.

Neon White is very fun if you like speed running/fps games.
Also do not take the story seriously if you want to enjoy that aspect as well. It is cringey but in an endearing way.

Yeah really enjoyed everything so far. Hopefully there's a lot more upcoming content for the redhead student and the blonde neighbor.
