First it would be nice to finish some projects that have been dragging on for 6-7 years. As an example - Ring of Lust, the graphics are very low level (except for those renders that were created in the last couple of years), but here the developer has a problem - he doesn't know how to move the story forward. Writer's Block. The game is a candidate to move to the category of abandoned. Does it make sense to rework such projects? My answer is no, at least finish the game first.
Completed projects - again, what sense does it make for a developer to return to a long passed stage? Especially if we are talking about long-standing flash games with completely naïve graphics for today's times.
On the other hand, there are other examples. Fallout 2, Heroes of Might and Magic III, Diablo, Diablo 2. The graphics are completely primitive for today's times, but the games retain their appeal. So it's not about graphics, it's about the initial quality of the product.
As for examples of developers starting from scratch to rework their game - 90% of the time that project is doomed to die.

One of them, but better than a no sex "adult" game. Also, whatever people - including supporters - request he does the opposite. People ask for less LIs & duckfaces - he adds more of both and even nameless LIs. He disappears with every excuse there is - he was sick, a family member was sick, his computer broke, his dick fell off, etc.

No, never. The problem is the weak literary base. Yes, I was upset by the ending of Acting Lessons, but it's far from a Shakespearean-level tragedy.

One Day at a Time, when Lydia overdosed and could have died (looked like it, wasn't going to happen in the game.) I didn't cry, I'm not 8 years old or a pussy, but it was a big deal.
