I don't think you realize the significance a character has for someone when they play a major role in their sexual awakening

I understand that, but likewise it can also be a major turnoff for someone whose own awakening is fundamentally incompatible even within the related fetish. When your brain just doesn't register a character in that way, the result is a pretty strong aversion. At least in my case, to each their own.

I wouldn't say a simple yes or no; it depends a lot on the character. Some are attractive, and others, well, I guess they're out there.
