I don't think you realize the significance a character has for someone when they play a major role in their sexual awakening

I understand that, but likewise it can also be a major turnoff for someone whose own awakening is fundamentally incompatible even within the related fetish. When your brain just doesn't register a character in that way, the result is a pretty strong aversion. At least in my case, to each their own.

Fair, I understood it more as not "getting" it as opposed to disagreeing was all.

While I'm not a furry, there is the rare furry porn and game that does hit the right spot, but those are very rare.

It depend on the model. I like more humans with animal characteristics but if the furry is made well then I am fine with it.
