Having learned of the opinions of many artists and cartoonists, I must say that I concur with their reasoning. Making furry characters increases the amount of expressiveness one can put into the character since exaggerated features from moving ears, long snouts and tails, and fur can quickly cue an audience to the emotional state of the character, which makes things easier on the artist. The use of furry characters also side-steps ethnicity and expectations thereof from the intended audience (a white man making a black protagonist for his game would be inviting all kinds of controversy from in-authenticity to pandering). This same reasoning may help developers from minority populations gain acceptance for their creations and stories because the character or characters have no discernible human ethnicity from the start and only by playing will the audience learn of such.

I know that some developers use first person POVs or invisible protagonists for their games, but the inclusion of visible protagonists (which are harder to design in an appealing way and require far more effort than doing without) shows that either developers like the extra work OR their intended audience have a more positive reception when seeing the game piece they are moving around.

Neko Paradise is a favorite of mine but anything more fury than that and I lose interest fast

I don't mind furrys, but i don't really go looking for them. Though some furry art can be quite nice looking.

Actual full costume or hybrid creature? I've never understood it. Not my thing. Cute girl with some light aesthetic costuming like cat ears and a tail maybe? Nothing wrong with that.

I like it, both in games and in real life. I’ve never done it myself—maybe it’s not really my thing to do it—but I don’t mind being around people who are into it. I think it’s fun that they do what they enjoy, as long as they’re not bothering anyone.

In Games and Comixx yes i like them in RL i never met one.
As I live in the countryside and without prejudging some of my neighbors,
it would not be a good idea for a fur bearer to sneak through the woods.

The full body suites of furries is not attractive at all but the fox girl with ears and a tail but a normal girl in every other aspect works. Most games that are a fantacy world, seem to veer more to the light furry and they seem to be more poplular then the games that have full animals just fooling around. I don't download games to watch national geographic lol

I understand why people like it, I even find it cool or hot sometimes, but i haven't played games with it

Thats a yay from me. Not sure how I feel putting it in writing

If we're talking about cat girls or human looking but with animal tails, ears, etc., that's okay. True furry is gonna be a strong nay for me.
Same cat tails or ears on cute girl is hot but otherwise im out...
