You guys just don't read for shit, do you? On this page, there's an explanation about it(No, really. Literally at the top). Erase the hidden space on the password at the end.

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO IS HAVING PASSWORD TROUBLES, PLEASE MAKE SURE THERE IS NO HIDDEN SPACE AT THE END. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING THING AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMMON BY NOW. SO IF THE PASSWORD TELL YOU IT'S WRONG, JUST BACKSPACE ONE TIME AND IT SHOULD WORK.​

I finally got around to playing this for the first time with v0.7. I don't know where the old version ended. What I listed is in v0.8.

I had a real good giggle when I decided to paste the new password (P@sswordsRhard) into notepad++ to find that it also has an invisible zero-width space at the end of it. So brace for more "password doesn't work" posts.

For anyone having a problem with the password: simplest solution is to paste the password into 7zip/Winrar/whatever, take note of the last character of the password, backspace until you delete it, then retype it. That way you can be sure you got rid of any of the dreaded zero-width spaces.

Edit: Side note to @Gadgeteer , I tried replying to the OP and toggling BBCode to see if I could figure out what's causing the zero-width space, but the password doesn't actually show up in it. So apologies if this is what you were already doing, but would putting the password in [code] or [icode] tags maybe fix it?

You're saving too late, most likely. When you hit the end, roll back a few screens and save there. I have had zero problems with saves in new versions for this game.

Do not overwrite new versions of Ren'Py games into the folder of old versions. That is almost never a good idea, and is almost unquestionably the source of your problem. Just delete the folder and create a new one. Your saves are stored in the Ren'Py persistent location, they'll come right back.
