Favorite Regular Game Genre?

Thread #3 for the circus show.

I'll start first my favorite game genres to play are RPGs and Strategy games. Nothing beats the Fallout and
Command and Conquer series. I probably have already put 100's of hours into those games.
Used to be JRPG until i started to hate the grind and SquareEnix wasted my time with a string of bad games. After it was Games like Mass Effect and Witcher. So i guess RPG. Though i occasionally enjoy playing shooters like Halo.

My favorite genre would probably be RPGs with a fantasy or sci-fi vibe.
My favorite games in that genre are probably Witcher, Cyberpunk and Shadow of Mordor. Lately Baldurs Gate 3 made it into that list aswell.

Action games are fun too, like Metro, Just Cause, Halo and Tomb Raider.

And from time to time I waste my time in sandbox games like Minecraft (especially modpacks), Factorio, Satisfactory and Teardown.

I've been on an arpg kick for a while, but my favorites are classic jrpgs. There are a few really good crpgs that I can get into--I really enjoyed the shadowrun trilogy from about 10 years ago. Right now I'm going back through NWN: DE with the prc pack.

I would say RPG for the most part but i also like Hack and Slash like Bayonetta or DMC, even though i am now hitting on DK Tropical Freeze

Very good game but you have to do a lot of farming
the new player experience is crap. that's why i stopped reccommending it to friends. it's like death stranding walking sim. you climb a mountian naked in the cold but at some point after scavenging/farming food to progress after a long time you see a "villa" with a pool at a plateau with a great view to the greater whole. while you get books of lore and drama. with a dev team that scuffed in the best ways.

it's free. and you need to pay only to support the devs and cosmetics #fashionframe.

RTS and CRPGs. I've sank an ungodly amount of hours in Paradox games.

I lean more toward open world games where you can take a break from quests and stuff and just goof around and explore. Fallout and GTA are my favourite franchises. I like survival games too.

Open World Action RPGS I like a game that isn't too hard that I can just wander around in at my leisure.

A well designed MMO goes a long way, but im a true sucker for story driven single player games, not too many good ones these days tho

JRPG/RPG, open world games. I started on FF7 for the PS1
