Abandoned VN Ren'Py DAZ Family Faring [Episode 6 HF 2] [Royal Games] Archived Version

Not open for further replies.
As a follow-up to my Episode 1 Remake vs Original comparison, here's the same for Episode 2 Remake.

LEWD SCENES:
  • Lucy ("Fitting Right") - basically identical, with model changes, to old version ("Peeking in the Fitting Room")
  • Twins ("Hold the Moan") - basically identical, with model and minor dialogue changes, to old version ("Fitting the Holes")
CHANGES:
  • There is generally improved lighting, improved camera framing, and improved posing/blocking in most scenes. This was true in E1 Rework, but it's more noticeable in E2. These are definitely improvements, but the originals still felt "fine". If he hadn't done the model changes, this would have been unnecessary. Since he was doing the model changes (no matter how much I disagree with the need for most of them), this was probably the right call.
  • Also, as in Ep1, a few lines that reference age are removed or changed (e.g. Mateo says "Ah, [Lily]!" now instead of "Ah, the young [Lily]!")
  • There are other very minor dialogue changes I don't call out below.
  • Ivy is no longer optional. Her conversation has changed a little bit; there are a few additional lines that reinforce her characterization, but also opens up a potential topic where MC/Ivy have an unexpected connection and can bond a little bit, which makes it make sense when she's more cordial by the end of the conversation than she was pre-Remake.
  • Conversation with Lucy where she walks in on the MC changing is a little different. She accidentally shows her panties instead of her breast, and she doesn't ask about the MC's scars.
  • Laundry room scene (meeting the Twins) has very few changes except the Twins' models; the Twins are aged-up like the other girls: they've got more prominent breasts and they're taller/bigger (see below). Beyond that, the dialogue now makes it clear that the MC already knew they were sluts.
  • While the Veronica and Mateo introductions are unchanged other than model/render changes, they are good for demonstrating the significantly improved lighting in the Remake (see below).
  • Bikini scenes are slightly changed beyond models/lighting/posing. Lucy's newer model actually fills out the bikinis better now, so they look much better. However, you can no longer choose which bikini Lucy or Lily pick; the game now auto-chooses the first option for both.
  • As another demonstration of posing differences, Lucy's hug with Hana afterwards is a LOT more natural-looking (see below).
  • The Twins scene in the changing room has the models/lighting/posing changes, plus some minor dialogue changes during the sex scene, better flow in general, and better animations.
  • The post-shopping Perspective Tutorial scene is changed a little bit. Lucy sees a sniper rifle and has an extra couple lines of thought about it. The scene does still show that she's probably sexually attracted to MC, so perhaps the movie scene from E1 was a false alarm.

So would love to know how to make the original girls and use them for fantart.... Anyone happen to know the daz assets needed? Which why does this page say Episode 6 HF 2 when only version 2 remake and COMPRESSED V5 are only able to be downloaded???

Replying to @happy2007 this way, since they included their response in a quote block of mine:

They are likely heavily modified, so it's unlikely anyone just has the list of assets (particularly since Royal is still using the same assets, they've just altered their dimensions/parameters again in the Remake). Royal Games is unlikely to provide them, either.

The links in the OP are of several different versions:

For major and trustworthy download sites like Mega, PixelDrain, GoFile, and 1fichier, it is safe to just click the link to see what the filename is, so I'd recommend doing that next time.

oops Got it was thinking the Mega PixelDrain and GoFile was V5 like compressed lol

I think this version was better !!!! What do you think ?
As I've said in my comparisons of Remake E1-E2, there are a few things to appreciate about the remake.

Namely:
  • Lighting is better and more consistent across the board.
  • Some of the girls look closer to proper scale (Lucy and Hana in particular, and to a lesser degree Angel, though Lucy's physical size now makes her unquestionably 16+).
  • The changed outfits and general render appearances are a bit better.
  • A lot of the new renders' posing is improved (the best example here is the Lucy/Hana hug).
  • The intro-to-perspective scene with Lucy had a tiny bit more of her thoughts.
  • The Twins scene in the changing room has significantly improved flow and animation.
  • The Ivy introduction scene is a little better-written.
But, of course, there's also the significant downsides:
  • Lily looks like a weird macrocephalic mutant (she's still shorter than the MC, but her head is the same size or larger).
  • The first PIV scene is a shitty voyeur scene.
  • Most of the changes to single lines of dialogue are just stupid, removing anything that might suggest that these obviously young girls are in fact young girls.
  • Ivy is no longer optional. (I didn't mind her, but I know a lot of people disliked her.)
  • The first step of Lily's corruption (by the MC) was removed entirely, which suggests she may end up being NTR-only in this version.
  • The first step of Lucy's corruption was changed to not be voluntary on the MC's part, and to have an association with a black dick that was not present in the original version.
  • But most importantly, the biggest downside: This was not necessary, and we already had 6 Episodes that we now have to wait for the dev to catch up to.
So I think it's a mediocre mixed bag at best, and an annoyingly unnecessary delay on top of that.

It would be really dumb if the dev made lily's corruption path, ntr-only, but at this point it wouldn't surprise me. Other than that I pretty much agree with everything you said.

I think you might have a point that the only real ntr-only path will be lily's corruption path with her male dance teacher... But in saying that it's the MC's daughter so can you even call it NTR seeing his not in a relationship with his Lily before she starts doing stuff with the teacher??? As ntr the girls end up with someone other then the MC but that happened before she is even with the MC to begin with... Which a lot of incest NTR games have the same issue not jus this one...

and it seems that they still going with the ntr lilly :/ nothing changed at all

Yea the only thing that is different in the remake is that the girls are older. All the events will be pretty much the same. Until they release episode 7 don't expect any content with lily if you aren't playing the NTR route.

I actually like Angel here. Well, Evie is also quite cute. Lily and Lucy generally have terribly mediocre and unattractive appearance. Well, of course, they are still cute, but not so much that you would worry about their change or somehow expect their future content. For me, they are passable characters despite the fact that they are the main ones in the game.)
