the part in with "x lines of code" in changelog make me think the devs has no idea what they doing..
I dont' know. This one has quite a few LIs too, haha. Maybe his writing just makes it feel tighter in scope. Not sure how this game is so much better than all the rest. Wish other devs could limit their scope the way Caribdis does. Usually way too many love interests that all end up shallow
HS-college, I think, and it's indeed the best so far, so much that I may rather follow caribdis not just the game at this point.
This would be the second slowest game development I've seen so far, but not the first slowest! The first slowest is "Headmaster".
Version 0.7.5 brought only bug fixes and nothing new. The actual work from 0.7 to 0.8 started mid March 2024, the game is past the 6 months deadline after which it's considered abandoned and he's not even close to completing v 0.8. The last progress post of his was a week ago when v0.8 was at 75% completion. It's been so long (and slow in development) that if he releases 0.8 soon, we'll have to replay it from the beginning because the most of us have probably forgotten this game altogether.
With the rate he's working on 0.8, I seriously doubt we'll see that new version BEFORE New Year. That's why I've classified it as "Abandoned" in my collection. If he ever releases the new version, I'll get it out from that classification but until then I see no evidence that it isn't abandoned.
Yeah, what are these people talking about? He releases a huge amount of content, once a year, in the form of a big update. Consistently, and for one of the best games on this site. Some people are really entitled, damn. You mean besides the fact that he's constantly releasing updates on his process, screenshots from the new version and is constant communication with his patrons and fans?
But yeah... sure... abandoned.

That means nothing. Legacyuser is doing the same and yet it's already 8 months without an update. He was supposed to release the update 3-4 months ago but he didn't.You mean besides the fact that he's constantly releasing updates on his process, screenshots from the new version and is constant communication with his patrons and fans?

Then there was Dante who made "Depravity". Nearly a whole year without an update, only dev progress. But people don't need dev progress reports, they need the new version. At some point they start doubting and in another 6 months even the most loyal fans realize the game is abandoned and move on.
Only a handful of developers actually announced they're abandoning their games, the rest just left it to their fanbase to discover it.
I remember times when Eternum's updates arrived a lot faster, but now it seems he's lost interest in the project or simply doesn't care anymore.
When a game goes without an update for 6 months or longer, it's considered abandoned bc it usually is.
