discussion Does anyone usually skip parts of visual novels? If so, what parts?

If i know that they will talk for half a day i skip that. most of the time the story is not that deep so that you need to read everything.

Yeah anytime they get too annoying, or if im playing an abandoned game just to see the scenes it had, im skipping cause its not going to have an ending anyway

Eh . . . I skip when there's too much details. I prefer the "show, not tell" approach.

To be honest? Some love interests entirely. Some bland copies are packaged alongside the one I downloaded the game for, but have the same damn attention to detail and length.

sometimes when i am starting to fall asleep and the current vn is something im only partially interested in, I will start skipping to get to the end fo the update and try to just absorb the important parts so I dont have to come back the next day to finish the last 10mins of the game, just finish and go to bed instead.

If I like it, I won't skip outside of previously seen moments while going through alternate routes. I'll just skip through everything if the game sucks and I am curious to see the full gallery before deleting it.
