Do you skip through dialogue to get to the sex in games?

Hard thing to answer here so simply since it varries a lot from story to story for several reasons. For my go to kink, an incest one, i'm inclined to read more because part of the draw is the taboo situation which requires story to convey an impactful exhibition. Other kinks, particularly ones that i am not huge into i am less inclined to read line after line of text unless its done well and not too verbose. The more put together the dialogue the more likely i'll read through everything even if its not my flavor of tea.

Also the more Li's you add into the story the less likely i am to go through all their scenes and stories without skipping through text. If you add 20 Li's chances are the scenes and character development are shallow and nothing serious will likely be registered in my brain for them so why read through all that text. If you have less Li's you can devote more story building to them without me wanting to skip to the next render.

And MC monologuing.. keep that pertinent to the story and a little goes a long way especially if its angst. A good render with the MC looking torn and throughtful can help enliven the character where a wall of angsty thought texts might not. And please, if the MC has an angsty/guilty monolgue about whatever he is doing don't immediatly then have him molest or grope gleefully in the next scene. That kind of emotional whiplash will make me skip any subsequent MC's monologue since it was meaningless and negated instantly. Some coercion or other transition is needed to go from "i don't want this its wrong" MC thoughts to "i love this its great" actions.

recap of my thoughts:
  • I tend to read more thoroughly for my kink vs not my kinks
  • overly verbos prose, stilted dialogue, and bad grammer reduces me wanting to read everything
  • try to break up heavy story moments with a few rendors not one giant paragraph with one render
  • the more Li's the less likely i will read through all the Li's storries without skipping a bit
  • Make monologues impactful (or insightful) and relevant to the MC's actions/plans or i'll skip them

We already have a few topics like this. Almost funny considering the question ^^
However, i read everything at least once and only skip repeatable stuff or when i need to redo stuff from old saves or when devs incompetence enforce a whole restart.

Always give it a try, if its an absolute snoozer of a game though I'll just hold control and skip ahead before deleting it

if the game is that boring that I'd feel like skipping the story I just drop the game.
Better to go watch some blender animations, I play for the fucking story

The first time around I'll read through the dialogue and then I'll skip them on the next update.

Wait, there's dialogue in porn games? LOL, yeah I skip ahead randomly. Games that don't allow roll-back annoy me because I can't go back to see what the actual questions are and I have to guess or hope there's a walk through.

Only if I find the story unengaging I skip to see a good part(in case there is any).

Never really understood why people play these games if they're going to just skip the dialogue. Seems like a lot of pointless effort, because at that point it's no different than going on any booru/r34 site.

I skip from the beginning, but If the game seems to focus on its story and I like the developer's writing, then go I start over from the beginning. Whenever I get bored, I start skimming (skipping a few lines of dialogue and reading a few lines) until I get to an something interesting again.

If there is mucho texto I'm skipping. I read pretty fast so I can get the jist and it's much better than slapping the space bar at warp speed. If I catch something interesting I may back up and take it in fully but the quality of dialogue is bad enough in VNs that skipping has become a default.

A good indicator of a bad game to me is a sorry storyline. I can tolerate a little time span in between any sex scenes if the story is good but if it sucks the sex scenes better be on point or I won't even bother trying to read the rest.

if the story actually adds to the hotness then no - but if i'm just after the good scenes then usually

Only if I have played before or if I find the story to be uninteresting.

Only if the renders are too good for the writing. It happens with quite frequency lol
