discussion Do you skip through dialogue to get to the sex in games?

Depends on the game and story. Hot sex scenes but boring story - I will skip. Otherwise I would like to see all authour put in.

I try not to, but when conversations go on forever I get bored fast. I like a good story and character building is key to a good story but some devs try to build Mount Everest at times.

No, the whole reason I'm playing a visual NOVEL is to read. If I just wanted to see pictures or videos of sexy things I'd just go to a real porn site. If the dialogue is so bad or boring that I want to skip it, I just stop playing the game.

Only on RPGM games with combat. I do not ever bother to play, just look for a save or a way to unlock the gallery.

Typically no - the writing is the reason to engage with the medium. On replays/alternate routes though, fairly often.

Maybe on rare occasions when a particular bit of dialogue has dragged on too long or is poorly written, but for the most part if the writing isn't good enough for me to read I'm probably just going to lose interest in the game completely.

I usually play a few games at a time, if i want a story I'll play one with heavy dialogue. If i want one that's just sex, I'll play that. If the sex focused games have dialogue that drags on, I'll skip it.

If the story is interesting and the characters are catchy, then no one will have a desire to skip the plot, but alas, more often they forget about the story.

If the game is so boring that I'm already skipping dialogue in the beginning I uninstall. I like to read visual novels so if the dialogue is garbage the sex scenes probably are too.

It depends. Some games have to much dialog for my taste. I mean i am like all you other guys on here, i only watch porn for the plot. But if the plot is bad i much rather skip to the epic final.

It depends. For a bit I am really interested about I'll read it all but more often than not I half read what is written when I am confident I get what's happening and I am curious to see what's next.

Some of these games are too focused on dialogue, I know they're technically visual novels but they forget that they are also porn as well
