MMC almost all the time, but an FMC works for me if she's a unapologetic slut (like Jessica in JOHN). The one gripe about MMC is that they're usually pretty unadventurous. Chasing the ladies, trying at most to get two at a time or create a harem. *yawn* Good FMCs are usually written to get into a lot more interesting situations.

That leads to one of the problems is that, to my ear anyway, most female characters don't sound like women in the way their dialog is written. Hard to pin down what it is. Of course, the trick to think like a woman is to think like a man, but remove reason and accountability. (Joke line from the movie "As Good As It Gets")

I find it interesting to see both worlds and mindsets but many VN authors write Masc-MCs to get harems and Fem-MCs to get "corrupted" quite often.

Well, since I'm male, a male MC is slightly preferable, since it's more relatable. But it's not a big deal to me if they're not, specially if the game is well written. And also, since most of the games actually have a male MC, a female one from time to time can be a refreshing welcomed change.

I'm not necessarily being sexist, I just find it difficult to relate to a story where the MC is anything other than male. More to the point, though: how do you feel about the sex of your MC ?

Most days i'd say (straight) male hands down.
