Do you prefer playing a VN with a Walkthrough Mod. Why/why not?

Usually I start with a mod to see if I agree with the logic of choice outcomes. If I disagree and still like the game, I continue with the mod, while part of me dies every time I choose something that seems illogical to me but gives me a fair outcome.

I usually use walkthroughs but if the game is dynamic I do not care about a walkthrough because I will know that I have a fun story full of whatever I find. If a game has scenes gated by relationship points, and not getting enough means no scene, usually I will use a walkthrough (At that point, why even give choices). If choices instead lead to different scenes, then a walkthrough is unnecessary (unless it is unclear what kind of scene you are going to get by making choices)

Same. Depends if the game is straightforward in its choices or not, otherwise I just follow the mod so the game is still enjoyable.

Yes I do. That takes away the feeling that I am missing something

I always try to go through a game or VN on my own the first time. Otherwise it's not interesting to play. If I see (gameover happened or I see in the gallery) that I missed something, I turn to text walkthroughs or mods.

Use walkthroughs, otherwise you can make choices that you regret, and can't rollback.

Only on a second playthrough. It is nice to see how decisions affect everything

I always like to play with walktrough, they really do help with some games that try to lock you without a content with some characters if you dont reach a certain amount of points

I like to play with the type of walkthrough that gives you the variable changes, that I may choose the type of path I prefer.

Sure, why would you not use a walkthrough when there is little to no choice of route?

I enjoy the WT mod in games. I normally use it to help create the path I want to go down easier, and that way I know I'm not missing anything in that play thru for that path.

I started playing with the WT mods when I was playing one game and I picked the wrong choice and my character could only watch TV and sleep for the rest of the game.

These aren't fallout 4, or skyrim, so "replayability" is a non-factor for me, Which means, all these intricate story branches and different outcomes amounts to multiple saves at the right moments and yes, having a walkthrough, because I won't be replaying it.

I like use walkthrough mods in case I miss anything or to avoid a route I don't want to play.

it depends on the game. most of the time i like a walktrough mod. but some games like D.I.K i want to explore by myself.
