I prefer 3rd person with a face but if 1st person then without (obv).

Yeah, generally I prefer to be unable to see the MC's face most of the time. If the MC is very much a defined character though such that self-insert isn't realistically possible, then it doesn't really matter; the more developed their dialogue, the more it makes sense for them to have a face, and besides I imagine it's much easier to design shots and sets when you don't have to worry about keeping the MC out of the shot.

i can usually rp as the mc, doesnt have to be faceless to insert myself

i dont really mind, but if i have to choose, i just prefer games in first person.

I believe faceless with a POV well written is superior than seeing in third person, it helps immersion.
But this is not something I really care about and never thought about it before today.

I don't mind if they have a face or not, unless the creator want the MC to show emotions i don't see why we need to see the MC's face

Faceless is quite good as I like to insert myself in that character

Faceless help more on immersion, is more easy to become part of story

I prefer to see them. I don't read vms to become to RP. I prefer to puppet them haha

yeah prefer faceless or at least give me the option to customize his face

It depends on the style.
Some VN/Games I like 1st person view and some I like 3rd person view showing the face.

If it's a short game with just a couple scenes I prefer faceless but otherwise always with face

I don’t mind a faceless protagonist, it’s not something that makes me skip a game. But I do prefer them to have a face.

Doesn't matter to me but the majority of adult game protagonist don't have a face.

So I guess the majority prefer to be faceless. 🤷‍♂️

For me I prefer for the protag to be faceless(face is obscured or the game is in first person perspective the majority of the game) because I like to self-insert when playing. And seeing a face that doesn't resemble mine breaks the illusion.
i wish that more devs included somewhat basic character creation. Especially in jrpg or simulator settings.
