As long as animated, 2D or 3D is fine to me
But still, 2D could do more than model, like map, background, view etc.
it could make games more varied
and 3D's model is better than 2D
so hard to tell which is better

I know a lot of 2D game with very good quality
but my personal fav is 3D

It all depends on the quality of the game itself. Graphics is an important element, but not the main one.
I can't give an definite answer in your vote, so I'm abstaining.

Prefer 3D.
The only 2D games I played were earn your freedom 2D, maiden and futakin valley which I enjoyed as well.

i like both and at least for me i think illusionjug is right (with the well made part)

3d, but I feel like 2D games usually have better story and game mechanics.

Prefer 3D games, but for cartoons/anime I prefer 2D by a mile. But for erotic games, 3D all the way.

It all depends on the game. There are fascinating 2D games as well as 3D games.
If I have to choose, then 3D.

3D is typically daz or illusion. The former requires some effort or a good base model to look good but the stylized illusion (specifically K) is harder to fuckup. 2D styles can look way more unique but that isn't limited to 2d. For 3d it requires the artist to edit their stuff beyond the bases & plus has the benefits or built-in animations. Overall, 2d when I want something different than the usual, and 3d when I want something animated but still nice.

I mostly prefer Renpy style VNs with only a small amount of game play mechanics. In my eyes they are all 2D games, because they are all using prerendered images, even if some use images created with an 3D engine.
