discussion Do you prefer 2D or 3D games?

Generally 2d had better animations. Nothing worse than having sex scenes where female genitals are all just rigid.

But i actually like cartoons too so win win lol

I hate them. I filter out 2d. Cartoons are for children, not porn. If a 3D looks like a cartoon it gets blocked individually.

[Baldoran95]

I don't care as long as it looks good

Ah, 2d is the way. 3d more often than not, feels like a rehash of other assets, personally. One DAZ model is very similar to many others, rare are the times they are distinct for me.

Still, it comes more to me being a sucker for a good and cute artwork

[Trotty.90]

Definetly 3D. 2D can be good though.

[windas]

It really depends on the game tbh. I absolutely love 2D and especially pixel art games, but depending on the content and style, 3D can be really good too.

Genuenly Depends on the day if im being honest, 2D games are better overall given that they are not limited to VNs

[zjss]

Generally speaking, 2d games have better gameplay than 3d ones

[kesara]

3D just looks weird and unnerving to me. It is possible to do right, but it's very rare.

[manseat]

a great 3d for me will almost always beat a 2d but the average 2d is way better and unique than a 3d

[xiaoxiaozy]

Usually 3D is preferred, but 2D is also acceptable, and 3D will have more sense of substitution.

A nicely animated 2d game is greatly preferred to any 3d game. I find most of the 3dcg stuff borderline uncanny valley, so it helps a bit when the characters are far enough removed (eg 2d).

For the most part i prefer 2D games, also i have a soft spot for pixel art games.

[MattShizzle]

I just don't get liking bad graphics...

[rozensoundtrac]

games with 3dcg are my goto

[fredodododdood]

I love both, but 2D games with excellent artwork have that little something extra.
