It depends on the game I'm playing. If the art style is more artistic, I prefer 2d, But if the game has realistic graphics and characters, I prefer 3d.
Actually, i prefer 2D. I find they're the most engaging, with better art and gameplay. 3D can be good sometimes, but the art tries to make the characters look realistic, but instead make them look awful and ugly. 2D is king.

I really enjoy both 2D and 3D games, as each offers unique experiences—2D games often have a and straightforward gameplay, while 3D games provide immersion and stunning visuals. However, in the end, I have to say I prefer 2D games because of their nostalgic feel and the creative simplicity they bring to gameplay.
I tend to prefer 3D more, but both 2D and 3D with great graphics are pretty rare. I'm also not so fond of most anime/manga styles, so a majority of jp 2D games falls for me in the "meh" or "visually unappealing" category. Also a majority of 2D games of the apst 2 years seems to be AI CG, and it all looks kinda same-ish. So with the rest of the handcrafted 2D Games, my expectation of quality are a lot higher, before i dislike the art, whereas with 3D the range is a lot wider for it be still okayish or bearable.
