Do you play as yourself or roleplay in your games?

  • I play very closely to my actual self

  • I play as a very different character than my actual self

  • I do a little of both depending on how I feel

  • I'm a crazy person that uses the default name

Sort of in-between- I treat it like a dream. A fantasy to insert myself into, but ultimately just a fantasy.

I am the opposite of DeusX. I almost ignore the sex scenes and only focus on the text. Depending on the story, I sometimes find a synergy with the character and struggle with the same choices that they do.

I like to feel like I'm the MC, but some games are better than others for that. Some 2D games work pretty well.

For the story I separate myself from the MC. But during the sex scenes I insert myself as the MC
You are the worst type of wingman. Build the guy up to get the girl and then you step in to seal the deal. Nice play.

while i generally change their mcs name to cullarn i actually see them as a different person

I usually insert myself as a MC and that makes me have the urge to play the game and excites me even more .

Unless the story is written in 2nd person I always see it as another person. Now I may imagine myself as that character, but I never really imagine that it's me.

I view Max (that's what what I name all my male characters) as a normal person with a normal family until I suddenly appear as a voice in their head that tells them to fuck everyone around them. I do that because I never could get attached to the absurd scenarios in these games. Closest was Summertime Saga but that was the first time I was like oh this can be more than just porn.

I´m the all powerful mover of things. I also don´t "fall" for the females in the games. It´s a game.

I always use the same made up name for my MCs in every game. Its not my own name. For same reason i use a color as a name.

It's not my story, it's the dev's story. If the dev can't write, I can't play, but I never try to make the story "mine". Same reason I never change anyone's name, and if they have no default name for the MC I'll name him something like Covid. :ROFLMAO:

Me too. Well, at least if its a male character :)

I don’t self-insert into main characters (MCs). Instead, I see them as distinct individuals with their own experiences and perspectives. My focus is on analyzing and understanding their actions, motivations, and development within the context of the story. If I were to imagine a situation or scenario, it would be from an outside perspective, not as if I were the character myself. This helps me maintain a clearer understanding of the narrative and what makes each MC unique!
