The Chloe 18 series is the only one ive been able to actually get through as a female protagonist.

So yes, pretty much exclusively Male Protagonists.

Yeah, I basically only play male protag stuff. With regular games I really don't care, because I'm not really trying to put myself in their shoes the same way, but for adult games it makes a big difference to me

Personally if I see a game that says it has a female MC or even 'multiple protagonists', I leave it alone and don't touch it, sticking to 'male protagonist' centred games.

Is this true of the majority, or am I in the minority?

If you're a male, do you just want to play as a female MC in order to see her get fucked or corrupted?

Or maybe you're a female yourself and want the character to reflect your gender?

I enjoy female protagonist (and trans protagonist) games when the game doesn't make me play as if I am inside their head. If I am just watching what happens then it is like watching porn or hentai or looking at images.

I always like to play male MC. Some stories have side stories where you play a female character. As long it is about how the female character approaches the MC. i'm okay with that.

I never immerse as myself in the MC, not even if the protagonist is a male of my age. If the plot is good, I don't care about MC sex (male/female). Actually I don't mind female POV because it's a prospective that I don't have in real life, so it's just original. If the writer is a female it makes it more realistic and I like to understand what is the female's approach. Because it feels different to mine so it's more interesting. Having a MC that behaves like me in real life would be boring. I play AVN as a fantasy game so what happens to MC does not really affects me. It's like reading a book to me, I don't look for a male author.

I play female mc just when the game is like, narrating what is happening, from "outside", and for example, I can choose even some actions of other characters. If the game is narrated in first person, then 100% I play male mc

I guess I prefer it, being a male myself. But Dumb Koala makes the sexiest VNs of all and she usually uses female protagonist. I don't even notice nor care.
