If I can tell the difference then I don't like it because I feel cheated.
Though whether I like it or not IA is here for a long time. There will be a day when I can't tell the difference and it won't matter anymore.

I love AI, both in text and images. (If done correctly) SillyTavern and Kobold being able to deliver pretty decent RP-text adventures both SFW and NSFW together with the ability to generate AI pictures in the chatlog. I am looking forward to AAA games that have a "Living" NPC base that changes with how you interact and talk to them during a long game. And lets not talk about the AI-voice generators too. They can be aquard but they are getting better and better too. In a few years we might have games that evolves and grows as we play them. Kreating games that are unique and that we love.

If I set aside all the moral qualms involved with AI... I rarely will enjoy it, except for using ai chatbots for a quick little flick...

But, Imo, it will almost always be lower in quality compared to something someone else can create... It's almost always better than the worst artists, and worse than the best artists.

If AI can generate something that feels original then it's amazing. But if the images are generic boring models then it's not that great.

I think the use of it is just fine. It's a tool, much like blender and DAZ. It can be used poorly, and it can be great. It's what the people do with it, how they post production edit the generations (if at all), and more. I personally enjoy sharing some AI creations of my own, but for each one shared there's probably 30 that were just off somehow. Getting the right prompts, loras, models, etc. takes effort, and if it opens up the game creation world to more people to bring more creative works our way, then all the better.

Yes, I do like AI, and I think its inclusion in new games has a lot of exciting potential. If it continues to develop, we could see the creation of incredibly dynamic and interactive stories—where characters can respond more naturally, adapt to player choices in real time, and even evolve based on how you interact with them. That said, I think we’re still a bit far from reaching that level. Right now, many games use AI more as a simple tool rather than fully exploring its potential to breathe life into the world and characters.

Easy cash grab = no
Characters all look a like.. a bit boring

But I do enjoy some creators adding voice acting to their scenes now. Or just cleaning up the bodies of the characters

The ones I've seen where it's done well, I have liked. This often requires the creator to put in a lot of work beyond getting the AI to produce good consistent renders (something that is itself not trivial). When that level of work is put in, I often like the end result better than 3dcg, where many creators are really held back by the high skill bar on lighting, posing, and animating.

On one hand no, but if the games has a good story, I can close 1 eye

I think it's amazing.

Love it. Let's creative people push a project ahead even if they lack certain skills but have them in other areas.

I think AI, in any kind of media, should have its own theme, just like have a distinction between 3D and 2D games.

There’s something appealing about its art, you know, at least with the way it’s producing its media right now.

most of the AI art is slop

Its alright if it fit in the game. Sometime those AI artsytle can be weird or uncanny

it doesn't manage to look real so it usually is a down when used for image creation. but is a great tool and i really wish it was used for enhancing the games with more realistic light and shadows rather than to replace art

Its never better than hand drawn or even human rendered art.
It has it's place but it doesn't come close to the real thing for me.

I don't like the AI for a lot of reasons, but even without all the moral ones, it looks super uncanny.
I only tolerate it when it is used as a tool to speed up some processes or when it is used as a placeholder.
