Do you enjoy games that have/require a walkthrough?

I think it depends, if I need to answer every 1-2 seconds, no I don't like it, I also don't like to specify every action, like those sandboxes, where I need be at a certain place at a certain time, that just useless, without a guide, I never know what to do. IF I can use the options it get some points then yes, I would also like to know what is added.

I prefer not needing a walkthrough. if the game is designed well it should be clear what choices will do without one

It really shouldn't be needed. If you want difficult there are millions of non-adult games. Not what people play these ones for.

I only enjoy them, when there is a walkthrough in game. Otherwise such games make me loose the fun fast, especially when wrong paths ends the game.

I never use the walk-through. I like to see where the same choices I would make IRL would get me.

I want a game that doesn't need a walkthrough. But longer games, sandbox games, or ones with multiple paths, I will eventually drop the game when I get lost and stop caring. Sorry, you get a game over due to a seeming irrelevant choice made an hour ago; and we will not tell you which choice it was - delete.

Best example is celebrity hunter. But you can pay to download a walktrough on the internet. Link is in the game. A creative way to get payments for a free game.

I hate complex games where every decision leads to another outcome.
Sometimes you have to go back and re-route everything to see a specific scene.

Well, if the game has a good plot, nice gameplay around it and a good amount of great characters, imo its okay to require a walkthrough.
Its just, some games are trying to be too complicated...

I just finished The Genesis Order, and if it didn't come with a walkthrough there is absolutely no way I would have completed the game.

Walkthroughs are great, particularly built in WT's, but I would prefer not to need one in the first place. I'm here to fap, the way I see these "games" is no different than magazines, books, or movies, having multiple stories/paths built into the games is fine, but ultimately, I'm going to want to sleep with every woman in the game and any path that doesn't end with all of them in my bed is just a waste of time.

Walkthroughs are always nice to have if you want to use them, but they should never be necessary to progress/complete a game. That's just a failure of game design.

I prefer not to use a walkthrough, but they are nice for games with different routes. I like to see things I might otherwise miss

I don't mind if a game needs a walkthrough for some things, especially if the dev comes a from a different um... cultural environment. Things that would be obvious to someone from that part of the country or world might not be so obvious where i am. Here in the US, things that make perfect sense to someone from the deep mid-west might seem absolutely stupid to someone born and raised in New York City, for example. Someone from the deep south might find a response to be rude, while someone from Long Beach, California, might find it flattering. Sometimes "obvious" choices are only obvious to the dev, or in the specific culture the dev comes from.

Now, if it only needs a walkthrough because of some "clever" mechanics that involve some ridiculous convoluted system of specific choices and events, that are NOT based on any real logic from anywhere in the world, then I'll nope right on out unless it is fixed in a future update. I hate that shit.

I dont really play kinetic novels so all the vns i play need use a walkthrough It is a bit annoying if they dont have one posted cause some of the choices that set you on a path or give points make no sense to me

I prefer to have a walthrough as long as there is a lot of characters and there's plenty of options. At the same time I'd like to have a walkthrough if there are very small boundaries between meeting the exact number of oints to triggers an event and failing to trigger. Many games has very strict numbers and for example, if a certain event requires 10 Love Points, in most cases you have to have exact same number. There's no room for error or going other way and you caint fix it. That's why walkthrough might be essential to actually achieve anything.

If creators would loosen up those requirements a bit, then I might consider not to play with it.

If a game needs a walkthough to complete everything then I'm going to enjoy that game less. It's one of the big problems I have with the Suikoden games. Big fan, but it's annoying to rely on a walkthrough to get everybody.

yes and no, i like if you can turn it on or off if needed, but not if its force on you. (if they just going to give you all the answer might as well be watching porn because you just a click bot after that point)

I think if it requires a walkthrough to get to anything interesting then I'd probably rather go watch a video. I feel like there a balance somewhere between grind, figuring stuff out for yourself, and the good stuff that hits better than if you need a walkthrough or can just skip everything.

I never use the walkthru, but I appreciate that it is there if needed.
