Do you download and play games immediately when they are first released? Or do you wait for second, third or more releases before playing?

Depends how much time I have had the day if I forgot to download the Game then maybe next time so it can be that the game is out for a while.

When I look I want play. Maybe I look only after updates for the games I download or I am up to date then I look give it new or other games I haven`t played to try them out.
Sometimes are aso Games under it they are older and have some content.

Which Game I download.
Look on the Girls if they are hot or not. If they are normal I don`t download it because I have no time for it anymore.

Which Game I not download or why it kicked in the trashbin.
Gay stuff into it like Male domination, Futa, Sissification, Anal rimming by the Hero/Men no download. Sometimes you see how extreme it is when you have download it and then it was kicked in the trashbin. Aso with normal content when gameplay sucks, Mini Games time speed are combinated with the fast PC you have (and not with the Game - a problem that have a few games) so not playable, no bugfixing aso not after bug reporting.

Summertime saga I wait till the tech is done I know it will take months before I download it not again it is only wasting player time.

For example I download Horton Bay Stories Jake 0.6.8.0 and because I download it so late I have a lot of content till this version end. I think it is clear that a Game make more fun when it is huge as have not so much content at that time you play it. So a complete game or huge game makes normal more fun. Not all time the version number say much about the game is huge or not.

So it makes fun to play Son of a Bitch or Son of Asia because they have real "hot" Girls and it is huge and you can explore and find something out.

Personally, it depends on the game and the tags, but it’s true that playing complete games is very enjoyable.

I like to wait for a couple of releases before downloading, but if I'm familiar with the developer or the screenshots show a lot of content that looks like I would enjoy I will try immediately.

Playing a game at its first release is a lot more draining than you might realize. Not only it stays rent-free in your mind because you're left wanting more content, but also you're going to have to wait for the next update which might be six months from now.. something you have no control over.. and you're going to take it with a smile on your face. You're likely to throw your hard earned money at the dev before he has even made any progress

Incremental development works for non-adult games on Steam because they have a software development life cycle. When it comes to adult games, there's no framework and crowdfunding platforms like Patreon and SubscribeStar are a tool to milk the game because of their monthly nature of payments. Most new devs get incredibly greedy when they start making $200+ and the focus shifts from making the next updates faster or bigger, to keeping the development cycle as long as possible to keep making money endlessly

I know it's tempting to play the new shiny thing but always safer to wait for at least 5 updates, to judge the commitment and content added. It's important to keep your wallet closed in most cases

for me i instant download it but i playing really slow to enjoy the game content while most ppl rush it (in the end you got nothing left to play if do that and prob quit cuz of bored)

Wise words.

Sometimes I also wait for multiple updates to land before downloading an updated version of a game I'm playing too. Otherwise you're in and out too quickly.

Used to play first release if the download size was substantial, nowadays it is much harder to guess how much content is in a game based on the download size alone.

I generally play only finished games with some exceptions. There is an infinite amount of games to play out there, and playing a completed one allows you to finish experience, let it digest in your subconcious and stay a part of it somewhere there. Playing an unfinished one make it stay somewhere in the back of your mind and take valuable space there. If you, like me, are going through hundreds of games on a regular basis, there is just no space for unfinished ones.

80% of the time I'll wait until they continue it, but every now and then I just gotta dive in

If the game looks interesting enough, I check it. But usuaully, yeah, I give it time to marinate.

Depends entirely on the content on the first release and whether or not i know the dev. If the dev had produced a game i loved before, then i would try the initial release. If not, I tend to wait for a few releases before trying a game

Well, it depends on whether I'm behind on games or not. If I don't have anything to play, I just download whatever catches my eye, whether it's the first or the 20th update.

Highly depends on the art and genres, but if its appealing ill usually try it right away and then bookmark it for updates if it has potential. I play through DoL every now and again but usually every 3-4 updates.
