discussion Do you change the MC's name and to what?

I never play with the standard names. Games that dont allow me to change the protagonists name get deleted right away.
Female protagonists are always Saya, except they are mothers, then they are Lilith and the daughter is Saya.
Male protagonists are always Yen lo.
Surname for both is always Wang.

Yes, I change all the possible names, for the mc I usually change it to my name and, if possible, I change other characters names too for names of women I know or have met in real life.

There are games that I like to have greater immersion than others.

I'm the opposite with other characeters' names. I don't like having characters named after people I'm familiar with.

Once when playing a game I got the randomized name of Durex. Seeing as this wasn't too far of from my real name with the vowel sound and syllables, I stuck with it

I like to use my real first name whenever possible, but I use a made up last name when that's required.
My first name is a fairly common English name, but it has only let me down once naming the MC that.
There's one game in particular that has a side character who is a "bad guy/creep" and to have my name and his be the same lead to some very confusing dialogue at times.

Yeah, to my name. My first name is a common biblical one.
Last name, if you can change it, is however always a much shorter variant of my last name.

I only rename MC's first name to a made up name to assossiate with character better. For cuck MCs I have another name, because when playing NTR i imagine myself in a place of "bulls".
And when you come back to games after updates I easily know to which of the paths my saves belong, just off of names of MC. I find it usefull since I play many games

I'll change the name depending on the default name, but my go to's are wierdly always J names for male characters; Jack, James and for females it's Gwen or Jen.

A weird or funny name can make a story a hold lot better/funnier to read
