Do folks like to check out abandoned games?

i used to, but i can't bring myself to do so now; too long of a comitement to an unfinished game.
unless the content is really good, but i still go for the completed ones first.

Only if it was strongly recommended by someone whose opinion and taste I generally trust.

I do like to go back to abandoned games if they had a decent amount of content. For example, Reluctant Archon. I've played Sorcerer recently and had a huge craving to play more supernatural games like it and I remembered how good this used to be.

If they are long enough then yes. I don't care for short abandoned games with like 2 minutes of content

I will if they catch my attention for some reason, it's got to have a good bit of content though.

Depends on the game, some have been really good and it’s fascinating to see why they went down. Only downside is starting, knowing you’ll never truly finish.

I give them some time to make sure they are truly abandoned and then I might decide to check them out. Since I know from the start it's not complete I won't get as attached to it, making the disappointment manageable.
For me it is better to have enjoyed something incomplete than to have never known it.

I've played quite a few games that I got really into only to find out that they had been abandoned or the creator just stopped posting updates with the last one going "everything is going smoothly, next update soon" 2 years ago.

it only hurts a lot the first 10 times, afterwards it only hurts a little.

id say most of the management games i have played are usually abandoned which makes it so much more frustrating.

I have done so at least a few times. Usually if the content seems compelling enough and it's not super short.

If it has a story, then no. I can't stand seeing a story with no possible ending coming

Sometimes I do. If someone recommends it and their reason matches what I’m looking for, I’ll play it even if it’s already abandoned

I do. I like to check out games that I had missed to get more variety

I'd rather not get invested in a story to never reach its conclusion.

It's a shame when a good game gets abandoned. Sometimes it's just out of the devs hand and that's understandable.

There are some games, which shoukd just be abandoned, yet they keeo going or keeo getting "remakes" constantly. I won't name any, there is no point in kicking up dust

Who all likes to check out games that have been abandoned or do people avoid them entirely?
ye if it looks promising 100 % but then i mostly skip through story stuff and dont get involved in any of that other wise you just want more

Depends on how much the game got completed beofre being abandoned and if there is enough content
