Animations are definitely a must. I can do without it if the game is really good (sisterly lust for example) but animations would make it even better.

No animations ca be good if you make enough still images for each scenes allowing the action to still develops nicely.

Worst offenders for me are those Japanese VNs where you'll have like 10 min of dialogue and descriptions in text with a single image in the background.
It's lame and it's a shame because a lot of those games have great premises. You can hire VAs for your game but can't draw more than 1 or 2 pictures per scene ? come on bro. And some of those games have great anime adaptation which makes them even worse imo.

I think I'd prefer a detailed still image to a mediocre animation, but when an animator can do both? Like with the original Incestual awakening, Daily lives of my countryside or Wet summer days? Those are legendary to me.
I found daily lives and wet summer days, is the other one on here? I couldn't find it

Realised i actually got the name wrong, its Insexual Awakening. Somehow i always read it as Incestual :censored:

Either way, searching the name on Duckduckgo will pull up plenty of download links

I think that it depends on the quality of the animation. If it's well made i guess it improves, if not, there's no need to have.

Really depends on the game, some of them really need it, others don't, but they're good addition (mainly if they are good quality ones).

Totally depends on the style, but generally speaking it, if done well, nothing beats it

ah okay, thanks for quick reply

Animation quality is what makes a game go from good to great. They're pretty important imo

Inmo, a must-have. I don't download a game just to look at the picture gallery

Animations level up the games for sure. I don't think they all need it but it really feels like something is missing when not there.

Good animations and OK animations will improve a game, but bad ones ruin it completely for me. If there's enough still images for a scene, that's good enough for me

Honesly, I usually prefer without.
Sure, at the highest quality, animations are great. But mediocre stills are better than mediocre animation. Also, lots of times animations make things unskippable or at least take longer to skip and that is annoying.

Either you have good art or animations with enjoyable gameplay then I'll try the game

I think it depends on the quality of the art. Our Red String by Eva Kiss doesn't really use any sophisticated animation and is still enjoyable.

have you read the comments after I posted that offer of a reward or did the forum software spit you out at the end of the forum after you replied skipping the two pages between it & the end of the thread ?

Animação desde que bem feita melhora a experiência no jogo mas não é o principal motivo, mas se for mal feita piora e era melhor não ter. Jogo só de texto mas as imagem e vídeos me ajuda a me ligar mais rápido com a historia.
