I find that most games (but not all) that include animations, improve the gameplay and consequently the desire to remain with that game, looking forward to each update.
Looking for the "animations" tag in the genre, is one of my go-to seeks for any new game. Thumbs up to those dev's who include them.

Good animations are naturally good, but most that I have found are bad/mediocre animations which can be worse that still images.

A lack of animations isn't a deal breaker, and no amount of animations will save a bad game, but they can push a game from good to great.

Animation that looks like a traffic collision is funny sometimes.

I agree, it can be funny.

But also nearly unfappable.

It feels like watching a 70s VHS porn with very bad quality.

It depends.
Bad animation hurt the game.
Mix of static pics and animation most of the time improve the game.
2-3 frame per animation does not change anything. It's looks the same as the static one.

It depends on the animations... I have seen some that are very good and others that are sad

Cant agree more, it's all depends on the animation. Lots of games that the dev try to make animations but don't take the time to make them god.
And some dev's sould just train on animations but don't but them in the games.

totally depends on the quality of animations. yet again, the game can be good without animations.

Most of the time. Some of the best games I've played have no animations though.

It depends. Looping through images? No. Actual mp4/webm videos? Yes (assuming the quality is good).

Honestly it depends, some games can be awesome even without animations ("Sisterly lust" for example)

I'd say it's a nice plus when done well, I'd advise developers to try & refine their animation skills, including getting community feedback (especially from fellow animators) before putting any in the game proper. Story first, then still renders/drawings, then animations if you feel they'll add something.

Personally i can tell that also depends on vision camera, well how much good stands camera in the scenes - then will so much good animations

Animations are sometimes good, sometimes bad.
This does not affect the game much, since there are good games without animations, and there are many of them.

Yes, but only if good AND the game is already good.

Well some new artists have that issue, they or replaced animation just in comic style something or they need to learn
